I have no reason for thinking this other than blind hope: 5-2-1
regulation losses to the Bruins and Avalanche; OT loss to the Wings.
yup, blind hope.

Counting on Carey coming back healthy?

3-4-1 and out of the playoffs. The caveat is if Price is back to his pre-Olympic self, I think they could go 4-3-1 and sneak in.

Ha Ha.. bet you can't wait to see my optimism shine...there should be no reason why with a healthy Price this team can't win 5 or 6 games they almost have too... but I don't believe in this coach and his player employment and his not to lose style so...3-5-0 6pts is as optimistic as I can get. Too many passengers don't help the cause of Michele the Timid...I'll hope Price can step in with no rust and if he sticks with the lines in practice today hope they can take fire...Boullion with PK leaves a ton to be desired...I'm done with this genius. I hope they make it but regardless of making the playoffs I want to see progress in our kids and see hope in the future...all I see is a org. looking for a payday without the vision they preach.

HFTO Good post. If there was any doubt before, it is now obvious that MT is completely out of control. His 'hunches' are just downright foolish. Hampers our good players and plays the lousy ones. Assuming for a moment that Booboo was going to help shut down the Bs, was he really going to help us when we were down 2 or 3 goals. Exactly how many points does he have in his illustrious career? To see him on the PP is a joke. Would it be thinking too much out of the box to put a forward on the point. Pleks? Without Carey at 100% we can not win playing defensively. Have to open it up and gets some offence. Ironically, i think we have the players to do that. We wouldn't have as many passengers. PK unleashed alone could win us a few games. But MT the Timid just won't go there. Very frustrating.

did we really go 7-1 for 14 points? I thought I was optimistic thinking 6-2 so i downgraded; way to go Habsolute with an OTL out [6-1-1].
I don't know . . . I just don't know. MT drives me wild and I think he's the wrong coach for this team but you can't deny the record.
someone on TSN1200 was talking about the possibility of 5 Canadian teams changing coaches this summer; Montreal was not one of them.

LOL. He's getting results right now, that's for sure. We can't say the group has quit on him, because they haven't. I wonder how much the acquisitions of Weaver and Vanek impacted the commitment of others. The whole group fought through Price's injury (for which I'm not convinced he's yet 100%). With the return of the components on the 4th line we'll have significant grit to go with the character the group has shown. January and February, where there were some significant struggles, are a long time ago. Chapeau.
