Cheers.

Same here Dis. Some inability to get the puck deep in the o-zone. That last pp was brutal.
Kudos to Bourque for having a solid game.

Both teams didn't want to play defense and neither goalie was sharp.

Yup Reimer was definitely the difference. What would CBC do if WE are the only canadian team in the playoffs?

Thought Price was his own worst enemy tonight. He's usually very good playing the puck, but tonight he gave up possession to Toronto several times.
Cheers.

Two teams that looked sloppy in their own end. Thankfully, their goalie was "just okay".

Always great to beat the leaves.
A lot less BooBoo and Murray next game would be great as well.

I didn't watch either. Fighting a cold & didn't have the energy. 4 straight losses in regulation to East teams for the Leafs. Sweet!!

That was very satisfying. Nerve-wracking but glad they were able to hang on.

In fairness franko, Bourque was one of the few habs that did have a strong game, actually I can't think of anyone else, Plekanec was good. Love beating the leafs, and the fact that this hurts their playoff hopes is even sweeter, but the way we played tonight leaves me less then satisfied, at least as I would normally be feeling after beating the leafs on a saturday night. That said it sure as hell beats losing.

Always good to beat the Leafs....especially in regulation when they're getting close to the ropes.
Not an impressive win...
We made them look better than they've looked in a month.
If Reimer didn't get ripped enough on our first two goals....Plekanec's goal will have their fans seething. Bad angle....awkward sliding over to the post....leaving the hole.

So was it entertaining to watch? Fits and spurts. DD's line got worse as the game wore on, but they were generating chances consistently through two periods. If only Bourque could give 60 minutes like that even every other game. I could live with that.

So was it entertaining to watch? I was entertained. Lots of ups and downs emotionally and we won. Can't beat that.

I wasn't entertained. Then again listening to the cbc crew doesn't help for entertainment, the whole game felt lacking for any atmosphere, that and shoddy play on both teams part, But there's no denying the significance of the victory in the standings, that was a huge 2 points! So that's great.

They won so I am glad about that. The next 3 games will show bourque's true colours. If he plays like I read he did tonight then fine. If not bench his ass.

Reimer is getting ROASTED on HF Toronto.
And many are saying that the Leafs are the better team.
I don't buy that.....but Reimer has really been letting them down lately.
We have more talent throughout...it's just MT's decisions/coaching, IMO, that levels the ice.
So it goes when you over-rely on goaltending. Bernier has been their MVP all year.
And we've seen what happens when Price is either out or not on his game.

Yes. Taking a faceoff. Was unclear what the injury is. He really went spread eagle so it could be a groin.

Regarding Reimer, he should have had Bourque's but it was a hard shot off the rush. Gionta's was tipped, through a screen, by his own defender. He was there to get Plekanec's goal, but it went between the arm and his body. CBC thought he was perhaps playing the pass and got surprised by the shot. It was certainly an awkward attempt to stop it.

I don't remember what the commentary was when JVR flattened Price, but TSN is reporting that Markov "clearly" pushed JVR into Price. That "controversial" penalty led to Plekanec's winner two minutes later. I saw the play only once.
What's the opinion out there?
Cheers.

Weak plays left right and center.
It's one of those games where you take the two points and run.

Bolts lost in ot tonight. So they're 1 point ahead with a game in hand. Their next three are against Ottawa, NYI, and Buffalo. "C'mon man".
