George Parros and Douglas Murray will be back in the lineup when the Canadiens visit the Florida Panthers Saturday night (7 p.m., CBC, RDS, TSN Radio 690) and Carey Price will start in goal.
Michel Therrien announced his lineup after Saturday morning’s optional skate, adding that defenceman Jarred Tinordi will be a healthy scratch. The Canadiens will be without centre Tomas Plekanec, who returned to Montreal on Friday for what the team called “family reasons.”
Panthers goalie Roberto Luongo, who suffered an upper-body injury in a 3-0 loss to the Carolina Hurricanes Thursday night, won’t be in the Florida lineup. Dan Ellis will get the start in his place and Scott Clemmensen will be the backup.
============================================= Plekanec attending to the birth of his second child. Hope everything's okay and that it's simply celebratory! Why not give Tinordi some more seasoning? I don't get why he's the fall guy. Meanwhile....more #1 minutes for Frankie...and Murray's back in. Here's hoping the Panthers are content to play for a better draft pick. Already eliminated, they'll be loosey-goosey. Probable Line-upMax Pacioretty - David Desharnais - Thomas Vanek
Alex Galchenyuk - Lars Eller - Brendan Gallagher
Rene Bourque - Daniel Brière - Brian Gionta
Michaël Bournival - Ryan White - George Parros
Francis Bouillon - P.K. Subban
Andrei Markov - Alexei Emelin
Douglas Murray - Mike Weaver

Mt is a knob. Sitting tinordi accomplishes nothing. I scratch my head with his personnel decisions

Dear Dumb Hab Fans,
Booboo, Murray and Weaver is the future of this franchise. No need to play some kid who is simply too big and has all the tools. We need to trade him and that other worthless kid Beaulieu for future consideration.
Make sure you buy your playoff tickets and sweaters.
Regards
Management

When Gorges comes back there is NO excuse to not have this D lineup for the playoffs....(yes, I'm presuming we'll get in now).
Markov-Emelin Subban-Gorges Weaver-Tinordi
Yes, everyone makes mistakes....but you have to decrease the odds...and the chances of Murray and Bouillon being playoff liabilities are much greater.
If you have to dress 7....then it's Murray for the PK...at least he can move people.
Sorry, Frankie...no time for sentiment.
Time for nothing but big, quick bodies and puck movers. The less time spent in our end, the better.

Your comments are particularly poignant as McDonagh is being talked about for the Norris. Aside form the obvious of trying to get Tinordi as much ice time as possible so he will minimize his errors, the three old men (not necessarily wise) need rest as we gear up for the playoffs. Murray, booboo, and weaver will all play better playing less! Tinordi will get better playing more!

The way this team is handled reeks of the organization's only goal to be holding on to a couple of precious playoff dates...how does this team get better playing a 38 yr old d=man who sat for 5 weeks with their best D man who then gets all of the blame is beyond me???..Meanwhile they have another budding star sitting and an even better puck mover rotting in Hamilton. The B.S.Carriage MT has them riding in barring a miraculous goaltending display will turn into a pumpkin pretty quickly if they keep riding these dogs...and then where will they be starting next year?

HFTO The only way MT is not coach next season is if they are swept 4 games in the 1st round. MT isn't going anywhere imo. I wouldn't be surprised in BooBoo and Murray are signed to 1 year contracts in the summer.

will be cool if the EGG line clicks right off the bat. I assume that if they take more than 2 shifts to click, MT will move Briere into Eller's spot.

I wouldn't be surprised in BooBoo and Murray are signed to 1 year contracts in the summer. I think he sticks even if they're swept. There has to be a ton of pressure to get rid of a coach like Therrien. The insidious part is that you don't see the effects of his decisions until quite a bit later. I keep asking, Would Tinordi be making these mistakes if he'd been supported better early in the season? Weaver isn't getting tired, he's fine, but Murray has shown that when it comes to handling the puck, he's a liability. Cube has proven that when he's worked too much, he makes numerous gaffes. And by worked too much, I mean more than once a week, especially given that MT plays him 20-25 minutes a night and on the PP. So now, at a critical time, we have an underdeveloped youngster, a tough guy with cement feet and cement hands, and a teachers pet who gets way more ice time than is beneficial for the team. At some point, those factors will hurt us seriously. They're hurting us now, but the team keeps overcoming them.

My friend doesnt have RDS, nor CBC Montreal, so I'm stuck watching the Leafs/Wings game. Sigh. I see Dourque got a penalty. Good one or lazy?
Both teams with 2 shots on goal so far. Are they serving coffee at centre ice?

The least I can do is keep everyone UTD on the Leafs game FRanson scores from a blue line shot, 1-0 Leafs. They've had slightly more of the play.

2-0 although the powerplay before the goal looked very sloppy. The focusing on PK doesn't work at all. When will tour staff behind the bench learn this lesson?
