Yeah I know it's Florida, but the habs are playing very well and confidently. Good period.

I know everyone questions Therriens decisions and tactics, and rightly so, but eventually he's going to have to get credit for getting the boys in the position they are. Him and MB. This is the best team we've had in forever. At the end of the day, it's just win baby!

Sorry, Bones, but a good team with a bad coach is still not as good as a good team with a good coach. I'm not saying that Therrien is a bad coach, but you have to make some adjustment to occurences on the ice. That's coaching basics in any sports.

I'd agree with you, but this team clearly feels different, they play for their coach, it's quite evident. I don't believe for a minute they're just ignoring him and winning to spite him, and even if that we're true, he would deserve credit for that as well. (Just ask Scotty Bowman) A win is a win is a win.

An interesting comparison, in the opposite, is Babcock and the wings. Good coach and bad(not bad, but undermanned) team and he is getting everything he can out of them. Babcock coaching the Habs... what would that look like.

But it still shouldn't diminish MT's results.

I would also add they are playing for each other and, I belive, MB. He picked up the guys he did at the deadline. Anyone who was with the team pre-MB would very much appreciate what MB has done.

And one could argue that they don't play for their coach but for their general manager. Don't get me wrong, I don't want to see Therrien to fail, I want him to raise the cup as soon as possible.

Let's be honest, we'd rip apart any coach standing behind the bench, it's what hab fans do.

2-1 DEtroit now. Leafs with a turnover on a PP and then a transition goal against, so Leafs have to try to come from behind again....not a new experience for them. The shortie came after Bernier made a save on a breakaway, so the Leafs really know how to make critical mistakes.

Only when they deserve it. If MT was playing Tinordi right now, i'd be a lot easier on him.

That's what I would call a top line, waking up both teams. They are getting better with every game.

What a beauty! Love this line! Please resign Vanek! 3-0 DD with a nice setup on that one. The line looks very very good. Very slick and smooth. Vanek goes to the net, and Patches looks like he is too. Fun to see happening.

Must admit I've never ever attempted to picture MT hoisting the cup. When i read this I tried. Just can't picture it. And I sure as heck cannot picture MT on players shoulders with the Cup in his hands a la Toe Blake.

The boys are getting outplayed. You could see them ease up after that third goal.
Need two points against Florida. Come out strong in the third.
Cheers.

My goodness what a luxury to have a goalie like Price in our net. So lucky to have him.

My goodness what a luxury to have a goalie like Price in our net. So lucky to have him. The guy who's really lucky to have him is Therrien. Outshot 33 to 17 and we're up 3-1. That's another prime reason I just don't think Therrien is much of a coach. That happens far too often, yet someone on the team displays a bunch of skill and we manage to score enough to win. Our won loss record is really misleading IMO. Carey bailing him out again.
