Bleacher is reporting that Prust is to be ready at some point in the playoffs. They cite a possible rib injury, but they're not positive. Anyone hear about Weise? Moen? Cheers.

I think Weise is in tonight, replacing Eller who is out with the flu.
Haven't heard anything on Moen yet.

Moen is also back skating, though with a concussion it's the reaction to the skating that will be important. So if he gets back on the ice today or tomorrow that will be a good sign.
White with the shot to the hand last night was not a good sign however. Not that White is noted for using his hands mind you, but still. He missed some time and then when he came back they showed him on the bench flexing his fingers. To me, relying on the medical degree I just gave myself (honorary) that suggests they shot it up with something, and it was all frozen and numb and he was trying to get a feel for it. Looks like he will be able to play with it, but he's not going to be 100%.

So, has it been confirmed that Chucky is out for the rest of the season?

It's been confirmed that he is out for the first round. Must be a bad sprain, no surgery, but that can still take a while. I agree that Galchenyuk is one of those wild cards you talked about, and I could have seen him and Eller really putting together some great shifts in the playoffs. OTOH, Alex hasn't really been exploited this year for the weapon he is so I'm not sure this injury will be a huge blow. You just want to have your best players healthy, and Alex has that breakout kind of talent. He'll be missed.

Likely a 2 week minimum for Alex.
Prust is a rib injury. He was taped up for a spell, one of the 24CH episodes you could see the wrap. If it's a muscle/soft tissue, who knows. If it's bone, it should be healed soon.
Weise's return is welcomed.
Eller is still out sick.
Blunden has been called up.

Blunden...yeah that's a good replacement.

Blunden...yeah that's a good replacement. Could simply be for Moen. Or, if he's in for Briere I'm fine with that too.

That's the official end of our 'depth'. Blunden is not really an adequate replacement for anyone, except maybe Dourque.

No, he isn't an adequate replacement for your "Dorque" IMO, not dressing someone to replace Bourque is an adequate replacement. Unfortunately I believe he does us more harm than good when he plays.

Blunden...yeah that's a good replacement. Is that what its come to for Leblanc? He gets passed over for a call up by Blunden.

As much as we all love AGal and hope he turns into a superstar, the fact is he's not there (yet) and was not likely to be an impact in the playoffs. By any measurement he has regressed from last season; hopefully due to injury or sophomore jinx. Most likely due to MT. He is a minus 12 with few goals or points and avg 14 mins a game. Sure he's only 20 but there are many his age and younger around the league who are key contributors to their team. AGal has not been for the Habs. In fact if we are to lose a forward for the TB series I'd rather it be AGal than many other forwards: DD, Vanek, Max, Pleks, Gio, BGal, Prust, Briere. I think I'd even put Weiss, Eller and Bournival ahead of AGal. Love the guy, and shows signs of brilliance but he has a long way to go to merit his 3rd overall selection.

A lot of what you said makes sense but how can anyone excel when they are not put in a position to succeed and then when they don't, they are punished. If he was played at centre right from the start, then we could truly evaluate what we have at this point. I am pretty sure that on another team, with another coach, this kid would be, or at least on the way to, living up to his 3rd overall pick selection. I'm not turning this into a bash MT post but I can think of a number of NHL coaches that would have utilized him much better than MT has, imo.

Looks like Blunden takes Parros' spot. Oh well, that's a push. He is a better skater though, and likely more offensively talented.
