Everybody in the league saw that play. And they saw the spear to Emelin's package as well. And they saw him run over Miller. And there's a lot more.
On each play....the other player did nothing wrong. DeKeyser and Emelin: clean hits. Miller: coming out to play the puck.
No suspension on any of it. No fine on the Emelin spear.
Three egregious infractions that would get anyone not a Bruin suspended: $5000.
Carry on, Bruins, carry on.....

Hire me for a week as disciplinarian. I wouldn't care if I got fired. Naturally, my $3MM fines(to go to Widows and Orphan's Foundations), would be immediately pardoned by Bettman. that's after tax, of course .

No need to appeal that ... Cheers. Or learn from it. Just like parking wars in downtown Halifax, the parking enforcement folks rarely hit the same street twice in a week or month. So, if you get 4 a month it's the same as parking in many areas downtown here. In other words, if the penalty is only going to be $5000 and I'm not gonna get caught every time ... Worse part is he took a swing at the nuts. With Emelin, you couls almost say it was a "love tap", but with Dekeyser, he swung. Then, as if nothing happened, he looked back at the ref to see if he got caught. Heat of the moment my ass. I'd love to see someone on the team call him out on it as Ferrence did with Paille.

Two really solid road games, two wins. Well deserved. Good start but a long way to go. Need to win the next shift! This is where the Habs need to show a killer instinct. We had the Briins on the ropes in 2011 and choked it away. This team seems to play well with a bit of a chip on their shoulder or when the expectations are low. I think they felt less pressure starting the series on the road, just like they did against the Bruins in 2011 . But when the pressure heats up or when they are the favorites, the Habs seem to get tight. They flew under the radar last year, but struggled against Ottawa in the playoffs. I'm not saying they need to sweep, but good teams will smell blood in this situation and put the other team away. They need to keep pressing. Don't give Tampa any life.

At restaurant and cherry was on (volume muted) but it didnt look like he said anything about luchicken... I'm shocked... ass He had a tie on for Cooper, a rabbit, to help them get out of their 2-0 hole. He chastised Keith for his stick work in today's game and called him basically gutless to do this when he has only fought once. Only think he said about Bruins is that they are in tough that Detroit doesn't retaliate so it's not a favorable match up.

I'd tell the troops, "Don't you want to get at the Bruins before they get over their struggle with the Red Wings? Let's not waste time allowing the Lightning, who don't live to their name, to gather any momentum. And if the Red Wings should happen to emerge from that other series they would be showing wounds from their struggle with the spearing and elbowing bunch."

There are black holes in the universe where matter simply is sucked up and vanishes. Biggest one is named NGC 4889. It's so big, it has consumed surrounding stars.
There are black holes in the CBC where intelligence is simply sucked up and vanishes. Biggest one is named Don Cherry. It's so big, it has consumed the entire CBC collective.

Ahh guys, he did talk about Lucic.
He said he didn't agree with it, and didn't want to really get into it. MacLean glossed it over, but Cherry said it's not what players should be doing and he in fact said "kids never do this, it's a chicken play". He said he didnt know what Lucic was thinking and then they quickly changed the topic. You could tell they were both VERY uncomfortable talking about it

For what it's worth, under the current CBA, the maximum fine Lucic could have gotten was $10,000 .... So in the NHL's opinion, it was half that bad. I can just imagine what it would take to get that fine. A retaliatory push or something I'm sure

The fine is a joke to these wealthy idiots. Is there a player on Detroit that isn't saying "You mean I can do the exact same thing to Lucic and only get a $5000 fine. Drop the puck already!"
the league should be stopping this stuff in its tracks! Not letting everyone know it is to treated as a minor infraction. WWE!
