Chapeau. If true, it's great. I think he has a little untapped offensive potential. With his speed and nose for the net, I think he can chip in 10 goals, maybe more.

Solid bottom 6 guy, who raises his game in the playoffs. No rocket science required here.

Other boards are saying this is bogus.

Other boards are saying this is bogus. The only ones reporting it is the 690 guys, and they can't confirm it.

I agree well done MB... Loved what Weise brought to the team... Hell, he made Bourque better... whodda thunk it?

Good signing. I didn't think much of the trade initially since I felt Weise was nothing more than a spare part we could have had via waivers. Tortorella didn't seem to have much use for him. I wonder what the beef was between them? Vancouver's loss and the Habs' gain at a reasonable price.

Love it. Very few guys in the league with that kind of speed, and willingness to hit every time out. He's a battler. I think he's got some hands too. Be interesting to see if he can get some 3rd line minutes with Eller. There may be more goals in him than people have given him credit for.

I would really like to see Eller and Weise together with Bourque. Tell Bourque all he has to do is shoot. along with a 4th line of Prust-White-Moen, our bottom 6 is set.

A very good move, and a great depth move.

I wonder what the beef was between them? Vancouver's loss and the Habs' gain at a reasonable price. Tortorella & Gillis really made a mess of it. The other part I didn't understand is that Gillis turns around 6 games later & trades Diaz for a low pick. So for the Canucks it's really Weise for a low pick. Canucks fans that saw Weise in the playoffs must wonder what the hell Gillis has been doing in the last year or so. His work the last couple of seasons was reminiscent of Milbury.

My name is Cranky and I highly approve this signing. Mark my words, this guy is going to pot 15 goals before his next contract.

He's not bad. About 49-50% iirc. It would be nice to have that elite face off guy. Someone they can send out for key draws. Be nicer if there was a RHS in the bunch for face offs on either side.

I would like to see the Habs take a look at Boyle from the Rangers...he would look good playing with Prust and Weise.
