On his other leg is Ference's one-finger salute.
Now both players are no longer Bruins. Ha!
That can't be real.
Who pays tattooed homage to swinish behaviour? (Rhetorical question)

Thanks, Dis……ha!
I just saw the video, too.
And it's his arm….guess I wasn't seeing right.
But it's better than not thinking right…..wow, what a supreme tool! Not only is Thornton gone after the Bruins lost the series…but this die-hard Bruins' fan now has a huge Habs' logo tattoo for life!

There is stupid.....and there is STUPID with a Phd. But then again, that is what Laffs and Booins fans aspire to.
Anybody know or has the gif where Thornton is laughing....then crying?

I have some personal tattoos and they mean something to me ... to each their own, I guess ... like, I've never met the guy but something like this smacks of immaturity ... hope he's okay with it when he gets older ... that says far too much about him ...
Cheers.

Turn up the sound and bask in it......

It's not worth paying attention to, guys. This guy (if real) is doing it just for a reaction, and nothing more. Pay no mind.

If he's got space on his back, how about this Bruin Habs-taunt in a losing cause: Cherry, in fine self-aggrandizing fashion, letting everybody know that the ref has bowed down to the Montreal crowd by calling Dick Redmond for an OBVIOUS hook on Jacques Lemaire in Game 7, 1979. Lapointe tied the game at 3 on the PP. Cherry has since twisted the footage/image into a heroic pose. Of course he has. Since when has he cared about context/truth?

Yeah, he soaked it ... that "too many men on the ice" was a good one ... there were seven skaters (in addition to the goaltender) on the ice when it was called ... Cherry said the linesman turned around and looked at him, Cherry looked up and realized he was done ... he didn't even notice it, himself ... hey, it's possible that the Bruins could have advanced had he not lost control of his bench ... #goodtriggerCheers.

Just to clarify, Dis…the pose above was a result of the Redmond hook on Lemaire. Textbook hook. Typical Bruin reaction.
RE: the too-many-men call. Cherry has since said, "Donnie Marcotte had orders to shadow Lafleur, and staying with him no matter how long he stayed on the ice. Guy stayed on for 4 straight shifts if you can believe it...and the lines were gettin' confused, and I guess so was I."
I've watched the game. That's another complete fabrication on Cherry's part.
He also added, "I still think Lemaire was offside." on the ensuing Lafleur goal. Replays clearly show he wasn't.

I knew this was after the Redmond hook and I just went straight into the too-many-men mode, which you detailed also ... . Cheers.

What I like most about seeing that mocking footage used as the heroic end-sequence of the Coach's Corner opening…is knowing that Cherry was as good as fired about an hour later.
Too bad he doesn't have a highlight of himself raising the Cup. Bowman did that 11 days later…for the 5th time.

Don't think there has been enough time since the incident for a tattoo to have fully healed as is depicted. Whether a real tattoo or not, i'm betting the mortgage he regularly wears a white sheet over his head - that's a lot of hate!

As we await trades, signings, the draft, and free agency I clearly have too much time on my hands as I got to thinking about this moron with the tattoo. Very difficult to comprehend how he sees this 'scar' playing out in the future.
So he's in a bar and another guy (or girl) sits beside him and the dialogue goes something like this:
Bruin fan: Hey. How's yoos doing?
Sane person: Good. How about you?
Bruin fan: Greats!
Sane person: What's that on your limb?
Bruin fan: O', it's a tattoo to remind me of this amazing event in my life.
Sane person: Really! What was that?
Bruin fan: A great hockey play!
Sane person: What's the 22 all about?
Bruin fan: That's the number of my favourite Boston Bruin, Shawn Thorton.
Sane person: I follow a bit of hockey but don't know that name. Is he a newcomer?
Bruin fan: No. Actually he doesn't play for them anymore. He was let go.
Sane person: So why the tattoo?
Bruin fan: Well during the playoffs when he was sitting on the bench he squirted water on one of Montreal's best players while he was skating by carrying the puck. It was amazing!
Sane person: Doesn't sound very sportsmanlike. Did he get a penalty?
Bruin fan: No. The refs missed it. Only the video replay shows what happened.
Sane person: So did the Montreal player lose the puck and the Bruins score?
Bruin fan: No. Whistle went after an offside.
Sane person: So did the Montreal players get him back?
Bruin fan: No. Thorton only plays about 5 minutes a game and rarely carries the puck so not much opportunity.
Sane person: Well, I guess some players will do anything to win a series.
Bruin fan: Actually Montreal won the series and eliminated the Bruins.
Sane person: Sounds like a great memory.
Bruin fan: I guess.
Sane person: I just remembered I was suppose to meet a friend a few minutes ago. Thanks for sharing the memories.
Bruin fan: Wait! Don't you want to talk some more? I got another tattoo of Ray Bourque. He won a Stanley Cup you know?
IDIOT!!!!!
