On one of the CH24 episodes, PK was being his exuberant self with Gionta and he responded back like a father figure. I'm sure that PK didn't take it as a snub, but you can tell there was a big generation gap netween them.
It really is PK and Price's team.

Both gio and josh are old school but the majority of the team want to enjoy themselves and have fun. You are right this is price and pks team.

I remember 30 years ago when Lee Fogolin handed the "C" over to Gretzky, told him it was his team. This is PK's team (and Price). Hope they give it to him. I seem to recall management chose the last one. Am I wrong there?

My captain has to show emotion, win or lose. He has to jump up and down screaming for the puck when he's losing by a large margin and he has a chance to score. He has to jump in the air and want to lift his team when the buzzer goes and they won the game. Rush with the puck and make defenses look foolish when the rest of the team seems to be just sitting around. KISS THE INTERVIEWER PON THE HEAD WHEN YOU ELIMINATE THE MUCH HATED(and favorites)RIVAL BRUINS
Most importantly, when faced with adversity in the media, when called out by the fans of his opponents, when these same fans show hate beyond what is reasonable, he forgives them and moves on.
My captain says, before an important game 7 away, “I can’t wait for the crowd, the noise, the energy in the building [in Boston]. I can’t wait to take that all away from them.”

We are obviously witnessing a changing of the guard in Habs land. I felt that started with the hiring of Bergevin ... Cheers.

Should: PK.
Will: Plekanec.
Berg talked about the young leadership core. Time to hand over the reigns.

I think the two people on a hockey team that should NOT be overly exuberant are the captain and the coach.
Remember how we all got ticked at MT last time cause he was always losing it ? And then when he was rehired we wondered if he could keep it in check? In my experience, if leaders get cocky or nervous, or freak our, etc the subordinates follow and you have everyone arguing with refs , that's not good.
You need someone calm and level headed in command. Who can talk to the refs and who can talk to other players without seemingly playing favourites

You need someone calm and level headed in command. Who can talk to the refs and who can talk to other players without seemingly playing favourites I thought we just let two of them go to Buffalo ... Plekanec has done his time in the trenches ... he's probably one of the hardest-working guys whether it's in a practice or in a game ... I respect the guy as a Hab and I do think he'd make a good captain, but he he has to get rid of the embellishing ... and Tomas has been doing it for years ... PK is the future face of the franchise (along with Price) ... he beaks off a lot but he can back it up ... in addition to what you point out, that's important for a leader, too ... very few athletes have been able to do that ... Ali, Dion Sanders, Mark Messier, Patrick Roy, and PK Subban ... he's matured over the past two seasons and, whether his detractors want to admit it or not, he's earned a lot of respect around the league ... I really think he's rise to the responsibility if given the opportunity, Skilly ... Cheers.

Whoa boy, tighten that sphincter. I only want to hear it coming from one end. *slap* They don't teach you young ones anything anymore? I gotta teach ya everything......*slap* [/Foghorn Leghorn]

...that's the captain I want www.thestar.com/news/ken_dryden_canada_day/2014/06/30/pk_subban_nothing_was_going_to_deter_me.htmlI feel we don't realize what we got in PK... through the years we kept finding excuses to ordinary players, we justified their mediocre stats, glorified their ordinay game, waiting for their never-happening blossom... and here we are with a spectular player already a star at 22... a charismatic, well articulated, fun loving guy and... we pussy-foot around him... not enough this, too much that... frankly I'm at a point where I often wonder if we deserve a player like PK...

So if you decided to do a search for #habs, you will see every Tweet that has the Hashtag #HABS. A tweet is just a thought. Everyone who follows you can see your tweet on their timeline, you see every tweet from the people you follow. It's the first time that I explored tweetdom and noticed the endless links. Also noticed the complete lack of mental filters by a few.... I'm not going to sink too much time in it. It's a medium for one liners rather then any cohesive, thought out discussion. Nor a medium where you build a personality and have some fun with it. Nor "play" with other posters. Doc, BC, Dis, 17(going on 18), habsask and several others go back 20 years and much fuller hairlines. Other then the exception, we never met each other but we have a comradeship that I don't think you can build in any other media, particularly tweeter. Nor build a bordered community. I'll tweet...but I wont sing......

It's certainly another form of communication, one that we can choose to use or not. Even though we have Twitter, Facebook, Linked in, etc. I still email people or, horrors!...pick up the phone and call them. People don't change much, but their tools do. Now, kids waste their time texting and tweeting. When I was a kid we wasted our time calling friends on the phone, tying the line up for an hour and ticking off our parents. I still put a premium on simplicity, something that gets lost in the tech world.
