There is no denying his work ethic and the effort he will put in during camp so that alone should push the kids to work as hard as they can. I don't know if he would play in the AHL but he would work as a playing coach on the farm. Mike Kean did that for several years with the Moose with positive results.

Could be 17 ... I'm also thinking that if Cube does happen to win a job from one of the youngsters then they'd have no one to blame but themselves ... that includes Greg Pateryn ... this guy is ready for the show, too, but he's rarely in the conversation ... I don't think he's another JP Côté ...
Cheers.

That reminds me, Dis, that one guy who seems to have become invisible in the fans' minds is Michel Bournival. He's never considered as anything other than a spare part, a 13th forward, etc. I think we're underestimating his desire and ability. He's in the unfortunate position of being a centre or left winger, where we are already strong (if one considers Bourque as a legitimate contender). Pateryn's not the only guy not being given much consideration.

Read Desharnais, Gallagher Pocket and lots of others.

Brian Gionta said Bournival brought something new to the line with he and Plekanec ... still, as with Pateryn, where would the two of them fit ... really impressed with Bournival's compete level but who sits ... Cheers.

I feel relieved. It's like getting rid of the comfortable but old and tattered sofa.

I feel relieved. It's like getting rid of the comfortable but old and tattered sofa. I've got a pair of slippers like that. Thing is I've got a new pair that was still sitting in the shopping bag for a long time. I wore the new ones this weekend and this morning threw out the old ones. Frankie, your my old pair of slippers. Good and confy and warm for a long time, but tossed out this morning. Thanks for your services. ...and for punching Darcy Tucker in the face.

It was time, but he did wear the CH on his sleeve. Classy guy, but it is in the hands of the new blood now.
Good news.

I gotta say I'm surprised. I thought for sure they would keep him around as that 7th, veteran defenseman. I'm not sure I like the idea of the kids sitting in the press box for extended periods of time. Still, I guess it doesn't hurt to be practising with NHL players, learning what it takes to be a pro in a more protected environment.
Unless, of course, despite all appearances, that's not the plan...

Love Bouillon, but it was time to move on. Get him a job with the club, he's been a good member of this team.

Rumor is that he has an offer to play in the Swiss League (which is why he probably didn't want a 2-way deal and end up making peanuts in the AHL)...

He had no business being on last year's team let alone this year's edition. He had almost fanatical support by some members of the French media such as Gaston Therrien and Yvon Pedneault which was kind of annoying. I found him very frustrating to watch. That said, there was no question about the level of effort. I wish him well in Switzerland or elsewhere. Who knows? Perhaps MT will join him in a couple of years....

Son of a gun ... wonder if Therrien was there when Bouillon was told he was released ... that was his guy and I'd like to think he was there to do it properly ... I don't feel bad for Bouillon, though ... if he lands in Switzerland he'll have a good life ... the game is different over there ... more speed and skill based hockey ... besides, if he does go overseas he'll be in Europe ... thanks Frankie ... have a blast ...
Cheers.
