If true Dis, this would probably be close to our starting lineup for the season opener, unless of course Galchenyuk can usurp someone at center, and as much as I'd like to see it, I can't see it happening just yet strictly due to the depth. Although I personally would move Bourque down to the 3rd line with Eller, and put Galchenyuk with Pleky. Looking forward to the game.

Yeah sorry Dis, I think where ever you got your info is wrong, this can't be the projected lineup for tonight. link- The Canadiens held a morning skate at the Bell Sports Complex in Brossard on Friday before traveling to the Pepsi Coliseum in Quebec City to take on the Avalanche. - The players were separated into three groups at practice; Group A, Group B, and the group traveling to Quebec City. - Brandon Prust, David Desharnais, Nathan Beaulieu and Nikita Scherbak will suit up for a second game in as many nights against the Avs, while a number of Habs rookies will also get to experience an NHL game at the former home of the Nordiques. - Goalies Joey MacDonald and Dustin Tokarski should share the work in goal for the Habs. - Rene Bourque wasn’t at practice on Friday, benefiting instead from a day of therapy. - Tim Bozon, who battled meningitis over the winter and is now at the Canadiens main camp, will play his first game in a Habs uniform in Quebec City. “I’m extremely happy and proud. It’s another step in my rehabilitation. I think about my family and everything I’ve accomplished over the last five months. To wear the Canadiens uniform for the first time is an honor,” said the young forward who should be paired with Gabriel Dumont and Nick Sorkin. “I hope I can produce offensively and see how I stack-up to NHL competition. I’m an offensive player and that’s what the Canadiens are expecting from me, but I don’t want to put too much pressure on myself. I’m going to go out and have fun with my teammates.” If being at camp at all is an accomplishment in itself for Bozon, then getting to play in an NHL exhibition game is an added bonus that the French left-winger is more than happy to undertake. “I’ve always believed, but I also need to be realistic. I’m coming back from a lot. I told myself that when I’d get the chance to play in a game again, it would be a gift, and tonight it's finally happening.” - While officially, it’s the Habs versus the Avalanche in Quebec City on Friday, some players are expecting to see more than a few Nordiques jerseys in the stands. “I think it’s going to be intense tonight. I imagine the fans in Quebec will want to show their colors,” said Francis Bouillon ahead of his first game of the preseason. “Quebec has wanted a team for a long time now, and with a night like tonight, the atmosphere will be electric. I’m eager to see whose side the crowd is on. It could be half-half, but it’s been awhile since the Nordiques left for Colorado. I think the fans will be behind us, but it should be interesting to see.”

...quite frankly I feel it's a darn shame for the HABS to send such a lineup to Quebec city where the fans there only get to see ONE live game a year... yet support them all year long... Fans paid 140$ per ticket too see that awful lineup... ...Not too classy if you ask me... I'm sure glad I did not buy a ticket this year 'cause I would have been furious... On the other hand Patrick Roy decided to bring his starting lineup, all the vets... said he felt the people of Quebec deserve to have a good show...

Funny. We had more or less our A team last night and tonight Colorado is going to ice it's A team. Both coaches obviously understand home turf.

I don't mind. At least the Habs aren't sending retired players who'd huff and puff after each shift. The rookies want/need to show their readiness and the vets need to avoid injury. Besides, it's not 100% assured that the Avs will romp, and if they do Roy wouldn't be able to get much to gloat about. Don't think that hasn't occurred to Bergevin and Therrien.

Really nice play by Sekac to set up Andrighetto. Avalanche goalie with the save, but that was an NHL calibre play, no question.

Johnson scores for Colorado on the PP. It was at a bit of an angle, so I'm not sure about Tokarski's goaltending on that goal. He had plenty of time to get set. Maybe it hit something.

Anyone have the Avs line-up for this game? NHL.com doesn't, which is odd.

I'm a fan of Sekac I still don't know what we have in him exactly, but everytime I watch him on the ice I come away impressed. He really does have a nice skill set, size and speed, he also seems to have pretty good hockey IQ, maybe we got ourselves a little bit of a coup with this free agent. He's certainly belongs in the NHL.

Sekac with a nice hard push and cut to the net, pucks ends up going to Andrighetto at the point and he ties it up on a pinball shot of Av's defender. 1-1

Gotta give the kids their due, they deserve full credit to be even with colorado after 2, what makes it more impressive is they're going up against the Av's regular lineup, kudos, I thought this game would be over by now.
And not to beat a dead horse, but through my eyes, it seemed that Sekac was head and shoulders the best player for the habs in that period, every time he was out there he made something happen offensively. Good stuff.

Sekac definitely looks like he deserves a chance to stick with the bigs, and Thomas is looking like he is rebounding nicely from a very poor injury laden season last year. He will be a key forward with the Dogs if he can keep it up.

Really come to think of it, that is the only reason, actually that's not true, I'm a big ticat fan too. The new stadium rocks.
