It seems as if whenever the refs see a player stay down on the ice, accompanied by a few seconds of "remaining motionless" ....they immediately conclude it must have been a headshot.
Here's a very good example of why a call worth a 5:00 MAJOR and an ejection should be reviewable.
Depending upon time of game and the score, the wrong judgment could turn a game….and in the playoffs, a series.
Could you imagine if such a call had been made in Game 7 vs. Boston last year….with us clinging to a 2-1 lead in the third period?
