We're still accepting volunteers for the game day threads folks ... I'm going to try it but I won't always be here ... even if you'd like to do it every so often, that would be good too ... here's the radio stream AM 690... the Leafs look different this year, too ... they can score goals and they have an excellent goaltender ... I feel they'll be a contender once they sort out their defence corps ... will be interesting to see where the goals will come from on Montreal ... the defence corps is pretty deep and experienced ... we might have one of the best goaltenders in the league this year ... Cheers.

I'll be at the game cheering the Habs on! Up in a corporate box (with a bunch of Leaf fans) but that's ok.

Maybe a stupid question, but why is everyone worried about free streaming sites. Isn't the game tomorrow being broadcast nationally?

Always look forward to a new season but this first game is a downer way more often than not against the Laffs ...so damn frustrating...especially since it sets off the damn parade. Hoping with the expectations the boys come flying out of the gate for a change.
Go Habs

Would just like to see Tinner pop another on the nose. That would make my day I'm hoping the team does well tomorrow night ... the Leafs are starting to figure it out and they can score goals ... apparently their defence corps isn't up to snuff ... interested in seeing where our goals are going to come from ... hopefully we'll see a few from the new-look defence ... want to see how Brandon Prust makes out ... they can give out all the letters they want, but Prust has earned the respect of his peers, too ... would be nice to see Sekac break the ice in his first game ... Cheers.

Hi all, here's hoping for a great season! It's always exciting to kick things off, but man I hate the leafs. Had access to kick-ass Golds for the game via work, but wife's birthday trumps all ($%&*#! Booo!) and she wants to watch the game together (of all nights)..... and honestly, I hate the ACC, but man I'll be kicking myself tomorrow night!!!
Go Habs Go!!

Yo Bigstar! ... welcome back man ... would have been nice to see the game from that perspective ... had a chance at some good tickets behind the benches in Ottawa, but I couldn't bring myself to pay the price ... friggin' preseason, man ... I'm always leery of playing the Leafs ... they can bring their game up emotionally and beat us on that ... tomorrow night I think we're possibly looking at the only two Canadian teams in the playoffs this year ... I'm expecting a good game ... want to see how our defence corps stacks up against the TO forwards ... the Leafs can score goals, but our defence is supposed to be much improved ... want to see how Galchenyuk starts out ... might be a good year for him ... Subban will have to establish his game at both ends of the ice ... expecting big things from him this year, too ... Cheers.

I wasn't impressed during the preseason. I hope the boys will win but I expect them to lose because they rarely do well against the Laffs on opening night.

Great video. Pretty pumped to start this season. Could be a few growing pains as the younger guys earn their stripes, but heading in the right direction.
Too bad it is opening night in TO, those openers seem to be our kryptonite! Time to reverse that trend tonight hopefully.

According to TSN, it looks like P.A. might not play... lower body injury, if so, it would be nice if Sekac was put in his place to see what he can do.

I'm watching Bob McKown and the SN360 screen is flashing the odds of the games tonight. Boston's favoured over Philly, Vancouver is favoured over Calgary, LA over SJ and The Leafs over Montreal. ?? Leafs over Habs? Are 10 Million Ontarioans betting on the Leafs to move those odds. Maybe home ice means that much. Or there are a lot of extreme optimists living in Southern Ontario. It's -108, whatever that is. I can understand 2 to 1, or 3 to 1, but those -100 and -200 numbers throw me. What do they mean?

That means if you bet on the Leafs to win you have to bet $108 to win $100. I'm not sure what the betting line is on the Habs (I don't know how to convert lines) but it's probably something like +108, meaning you would bet $100 on the Habs and you would win $108. Either way you look at it, tonight's game is almost a coin toss from a betting standpoint (a line of -108 isn't a big favourite).

I work at a college in Toronto & there are a ton of people wearing Leaf jerseys - even Clarkson. I actually saw one guy wearing a Curtis Joseph Coyotes shirt.

It'll be strange to see the Leafs open their season without a few goons on the ice. It's probably the Shanahan effect.
