heard Bob MacKenzie this morning on TSN690 . . . said that management is going to have to "have a little talk" with Lucy about his focus. maybe Rask too . . . as soon as they enter Centre Bell they lose it. (where's that stick a fork in them, they're done picture?0

Sometime in the 11-12 hour this morning, Marinaro (TSN690) will be going on-air with a Bruins' sports radio station.
I don't know if these are the guys that show a little respect…or the ones that act like Jack Edwards, Lucic, Marchand, etc.
Marinaro handles himself very well with these guys.

I could be wrong, because I can't tell you how another person actually feels, but it does look like a bit of fear, pressure, what have you ... Cheers.

Wisniewski got two games for his gesture at Avery….I'm thinking at least a game for doing that to the crowd. That's pretty graphic. Lucic will say it was a "lower body gesture". "Adjusting my cup" before raising the Cup. But it'll be the usual chump change fine….same for Marchand, if anything comes of that at all. There's gotta be a .gif of his separator somewhere online. I heard on TV this morning that Lucic's gesture will be reviewed by the league ... imagine after all of the antics, the verbal exchanges with the referees, leaving his team without a chance to come back, etc, he gets hit with a suspension ... wonder who he'll blame for that ... Cheers. We will have to add another slice to the B's wheel of fortune.

I don't know if these are the guys that show a little respect…or the ones that act like Jack Edwards, Lucic, Marchand, etc. Marinaro handles himself very well with these guys. I listened to one Boston sports radio station interviewing a Francophone (who I suspect was calling from Quebec) and they actually made fun of his accent while playing the national anthem of France in the background ... I guess they consider this a form of entertainment ... I'd like to hear this interview this morning but I'm on my way out shortly ... if, by chance, you could post the recording it would be appreciated ... Cheers.

So, the standard for taking one in the pills is now "don't go down". Everyone will get an embellishment penalty if they drop, right? I guess PK should take it as a compliment. Balls of steel.

Another excuse for the Bruins. Apparently some fan was shining a green laser at Rask. If true, measures should be taken to eliminate such antics. But it had nothing to do with the game, either.

Marinaro was classic with the two B radio guys. Hopefully they put the clip up on TSN690.

I think the definition of embellishment is loose. watching the clip I think that he did fall quickly . . . but I'da done no less . . . it ain't embellishment, it's self protection!

Marinaro was the aggressor this time around with the Boston crew. Really riding Rask. They mostly complained about the green laser and Emelin turning a clean check into a boarding call. Marinaro retorted with how much Lucic and Marchand like nuts.
They didn't even try to defend Lucic's behaviour in the penalty box.
Marinaro played a clip of Neely on Chris Nilan's show yesterday re: Lucic's comments in the handshake line. Basically, paraphrased: Things are always said on the ice…during handshakes as well…and it always used to say on the ice. But today things are different. Heat of the moment (blah blah blah). A day or two later, you regret what was said. We just lost a 7-game series to our biggest rival. We talked to Milan at our exit meetings. He's an emotional player, but he has to keep them in check a bit better. But in the history of handshake lines, there have been worse things said.
Really? Worse than I'm gonna kill you?
Marinaro said that Neely should have another talk with Milan: Kick his a$$, Sea Bass! Then…How appropriate is it that a member of Bruins' management would be in Dumb and Dumber...

$5000 fine for Lucic.
A $6 million salary works out to approx. $3650 per shift (based on a 20-shift game).
So he got fined less than 1.5 shifts.
Fines mean nothing.
Suspensions are the only thing that'll stop it.

$5000 fine for Lucic. For a $6 million salary…that works out to about one-fifth of one period. Yep….$73,170 per game. isn't that the maximum?

But Wisniewski got suspended two games for his obscene gesture. That hurts a bit more….and sends a clearer message than missing no time and being paid $68,170 for one game, instead of $73,170.

I know the fans taunt players like crazy.....but that's the price of being the "enemy"….and most pro-athletes are able to shoulder that. Do NOT engage negatively with the fans. But here's a player making more in one game than most fans make in one year, who clearly doesn't understand that line. So what happens? No suspension and docked an evening's bottle service.

How long before Chiarelli realizes these guys hurt his cause with all the drama they bring. Lucic gets a penalty with 1.5 minutes to go in a one goal game.
Marchand, who stunk in the playoffs, doesn't have a point this season. They keep guys like that & traded Seguin???
PS: disappointed by the Friedman comment. He used to be fair minded at CBC but I guess he's drinking the Sportsnet koolaid.

They won't change. Winning the Cup solidified their philosophy. Cheap shot goons is who they are and the Cup reinforced their beliefs. That's why Lucic still raises the Cup when he gets pissed. They will live off that moment for a life time.(It's been 3 years Milan - give it a rest).
The irony of course is that they were very fortunate to win the cup. 3 series go to 7 games. All 4 wins against Mtl were by one goal - 3 in OT - and no Max (who was hurt by a Bruin cheap shot). Somehow beat the Canucks from behind much due to the Colin Campbell effect and the crap they were allowed to get away with - and an injured Kessler. And all this with a lifetime AHL goalie who out of nowhere wins the Conn Smythe and then recedes into oblivion where he came from.
I don't mind that they believe in their tactics. It will keep them from winning another Cup. And boy is it fun watching them lose!

JOE Thornton, I hope he meant. he specifically mentioned first round picks . . . so yup They won't change. Winning the Cup solidified their philosophy. Cheap shot goons is who they are and the Cup reinforced their beliefs. Thornton (Joe ), Kessel, and Seguin all traded because they wouldn't fit in to the "Big Bad Bruin" philosophy. and let's face it, they did win a Cup with it. but the bear's shadow is on the wane.
