Too many lacklustre starts. Too many needless, lazy, dumb penalties….negating any kind of momentum. You've got to look at the coach first. Is he doing all he can to prepare the team for the drop of the puck? Does he have the right guys in the lineup? He's dressed Bourque & Moen but they have only played 6 and 7 minutes respectively tonight. They are contributing little but always in the lineup. They have one assist between them in 11 games & Bourque is -6. Mystifying. What's that quote about mental illness? Doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result.

That's where I'd disagree Not everyone does what Emelin did. When he fell he covered his face, then looked up for the ref, made eye contact, and then he covered his face again. That's a sell job, and any chance of the ref calling goes out the window If the ref was going to call it he'd have had his arm up already, but whatever. And after the way the Habs players were snapping their heads back in last year's playoffs (when not being touched) any attempt to draw a penalty like that isn't going to be called. I've been elbowed in the face. Your head doesnt go back like whiplash ..., sure it goes back, but not like that. Also, Emelin took TWO strides before falling down he only fell down then cause he knew he was getting penalized. But then he buries his face in his gloves, peeks up, reburies his face in his gloves. They called it interference, but he could have easily gotten an embellishment call too. I agree he got elbowed, I agree it should have been a penalty, but Emelin's reaction was why it wasn't called. We will have to agree to disagree

My wife asked if I'm going to watch the Walking Dead. I said I already am. Sorry, too obvious. LOL CH. I'm a bit perplexed by this team, it seems when they want to they can turn it on and get the job done, which suggests there is no chemistry problem, but merely a urgency one. It seems the only time they tend to focus is when their backs are against the wall in the 3rd period. Now I can already hear people suggesting it's a coaching problem, which in a simplistic term makes sense, but I can guarantee MT wants him team to play better from the start and these lackadisacal starts has him pulling out his hair. I think this problem lies squarely on the players shoulders, and it will be up to them to work themselves through this. The coach can only do so much, it's up to the players to execute or show they care.

A bad season by PK is going to go to hell in a hurry.....
If this was year 4 and some accomplishments before hand, not too bad, but an extended rough negotiation and the demand to be the highest paid is going to bring a lot of expectations....and woe to him that fails....

I like to think of Therrien as the Mr. Bean of hockey coaches. Stumbles and bumbles his mismanagement ways through the season without a clue as to what he is doing (albeit with good intentions) and in the end rescued by his team, that despite of him, rises to the occasion and succeeds. All of this going on while he remains oblivious as to the dumb luck reasons for his success......in other words ..... it just all worked out in the end, so I must be doing something right mentality....... hmmmmmm! Yeah you're right, he's Forrest Gump, the win/loss totals or the positive results on and off the ice have nothing to do with him, we might as well just dismiss the facts or the evidence that points to the contrary. I mean any monkey can do this job, heck we should have just kept Randy Cunneyworth. Well....forest got shot in the ass and won the medal of honour so I guess you could say that eh?....LT Bones?

Could smell a game like this coming a mile away with the way they played last week. Good teams decide where rock bottom is. Will this be it?

We will have to agree to disagree He may consider himself lucky for not getting an additional embellishment penalty. I really hate trying to influence refs, because when you really need a call, you're not going to get it.

AT least not until we ice our best line-up and the players recognize that. If it's not an intimidating type team that we're playing, Moen and Bourque need to sit in place of Bournival and Sekac. And Tinordi has to play all the time. If Beaulieu is going to break the line-up, it has to be in someone else's place. Against tough team, Moen can step in. Bourque just sits until he gets traded. The CAP space alone is worth it.

Must have really been a tough game to watch. I recorded it, but it's looking very much like a deleter.
