Sekac has been one of our best forwards tonight.....no question.

Even Galchenyuk, who's been one of the very few who's been consistent is barely noticeable tonight.

Halfway through the game against one of the worst teams in the league....and we have 11 shots....and no great saves needed by Neuvirth.
Good thing Toker's on his game.

Even Galchenyuk, who's been one of the very few who's been consistent is barely noticeable tonight. Pleks is having another lacklustre game, offensively. That doesn't help. I don't think I've heard #14's name once tonight. Not nearly enough....that's for sure.

I honestly don't think it's a MT thing CH. They're just asleep going through the motions with this nonchalant lackadaisical attitude. I think the problem is the leadership on the team, somebody has to stand up and shake them out of this slumber, either with example of effort or verbally. Something has to give.

Yeah, I deleted my "Are they quitting on MT" comment, as I thought it was more than a bit reactionary......but still....there's no excuse for this.

Being outhit 22-10.
It would be one thing if it was because we had constant control of the puck....

Good shift by Pleks' line...finally.
Nothing to show for it...but a fine effort.
Gallagher missed high.

Sekac should not be out of this lineup any time soon. I just hope MT doesn't think, "Well, we tried it....it didn't work.....so back to Bourque and Moen we go."

Man would I love a Saku Koivu in his prime on this team in exchange for Desharnais. He's exactly the type of leader who would pull this team up by the boot straps.

Back to the PK. Perfect time for a late PP goal for the Sabres. Beaulieu for a crosscheck.

If we were working harder, we just might be drawing some penalties and getting more chances to get out of this funk.
15 shots and only 1 PP against a weak team after 2, with no great saves demanded of Neuvirth.
Not to mention being outshot after 2 by one of the worst teams.
Figure skating ain't gonna do it.

Yeah, maybe they underestimated the loss of certain personalities, something is definitely wrong at this point. I still think they'll be fine eventually, but it has to come from within the team. Somebody has got to stand up.
