Then Gilbert totally loses his man and gives up an A1 scoring chance. Our coverage is horrible so far. That's 3 really good chances for Minny.

I'd like a game where the refs go unnoticed. Or at least do their job in a non- aggravating way. Not happening tonight.

I do not like Beaulieu's play. He's all over the place and not disciplined.

Awesome play by Sekac. The type of thing Bourque can only dream of. Too bad the guy he passed to hit Kuemper right inthe chest.

Nice shift turns into a PP for us.
(I would've taken a Pleks goal...but he shot it right at Kemper.)

Son of a.....Markov forced to take an interference penalty to prevent a clear cut breakaway.

Love the poppy on the helmet. Hope they're lucky! it probably means they're on morphine. It would explain the sluggish play.

Son of a.....Markov forced to take an interference penalty to prevent a clear cut breakaway. Which was a direct result of our guys penchant for feeding the point, and the opposition playing high ready to jump on the slightest mistake by Markov or Subban (which has been many this year). Do something different would go a long way to ensure the opposition plays the PK honestly

Rangers start Talbot because Lundqvist usually sucks vs. Toronto....but Talbot's doing no better. 3-2 Leafs after 1.

This is still SLUMPING hockey.

From what I've seen so far, it appears to me that too many of the players aren't willing to pay the price. They're avoiding contact when it might gain them puck possession or give them a better chance at retaining possession. They're not quite working hard enough to win battles and they're just a bit short of the effort level needed to make good passes or force the other team into more mistakes.

That's what I mean by perimeter play. Way too much of it. Only 6 regulation goals since Edmonton....6 games ago.

Notice on transitions that we often seem to get outnumbered? A 3 on 3 turns into a 4 on 3? That's cost us big time lately. Those last 2 forwards are letting defensemen join the play and not taking them. Carey saves us, yet again. Every save he makes, turns MT into a better coach.

Too many stick checks, not enough check checks They are indeed avoiding contact, as if they're constantly afraid of getting hurt.

Emelin displayed his lack of offensive prowess. He held it too long and Gallagher almost goes offside until Emelin dumps it in , on a 2 on 2 ... Ugh

The Wild were men against boys on that shift.
Price provides the wall again.
And he'll have to do more on this PK....even though the Wild are worse than we are on the PP....but watch...they'll break through.
