I can't get the game out in BC. RDS is blacked out. Oh well, at least the Raptors are on. I got in just in time to see Eller's goal and Sekac's effort ... haven't read the rest of the thread as yet, but you could try streaming it, I guess ... Cheers.

Beaulieu tough on the puck ... I hope these rumours of him possibly moving on stay just rumours ... like, he's a talent ....
Cheers.

About as frustrating as watching our PP.

I'd really consider breaking up DD and Patches, but it would mean disrupting one of the other two lines and they're playing well so that's a non starter.

Any guesses how many fewer points we'd have if Carey was like, ordinary?

DD loses far too many battles...because of his size only...not his heart/skill.

Sekac doing something that Borque never did . . . backcheck.
Eller has bee (re)energized with an actual player on his line.

Winnipeg is playing a very strong game and we're not matching it, except for the Eller line. Carey has been really good and once again, that is the difference.

Any guesses how many fewer points we'd have if Carey was like, ordinary? About half. But all teams with good records usually have solid goaltending. Price is covering a lot of warts....warts that MB is hopefully in the process of removing.

Sekac doing something that Borque never did . . . backcheck. Eller has bee (re)energized with an actual player on his line. I've noticed that he often gets his stick on an outlet pass from the other D, causing a turnover. Bourque couldn't even get his stick on the puck when a teammate passed it to him. The announcer just mentioned that the Habs have yet to lose a game this year when they've scored first. How big a sample is that? One, two? She made it seem like it was such an achievement.

Any guesses how many fewer points we'd have if Carey was like, ordinary? About half. But all teams with good records usually have solid goaltending. But some (Colorado last year for example) rely on it a lot more than others. Our first 4 games, Carey wasn't at his best and we squeezed out some wins anyway. Since then, he's been a much bigger part than I want him to be. The Eller line is very strong tonight, and Pleks line has been ok. Malhotra's done his thing, so we've had a good portion of the team playing at a good level. That's for you Bones, looking at some of the good things that are happening. Let's hope we continue our habit of playing our best period in the 3rd. The Jets announcers said that Winnipeg's 3rd is also their best period, so it's shaping up to be a barnburner.
