Yes, the Bruins were depleted...but they were also on a 3-game winning streak.
Whatever, HNIC.

If the roles were reversed, HNIC wouldn't have said a thing about us in that regard.

If the roles were reversed, HNIC wouldn't have said a thing about us in that regard. Last year, we were the only Canadian-based team in the playoffs. MacLean started off the playoff broadcast by saying that fans could go to CBC's website to see all the Canadian-born players on other teams...so that, "You can still cheer for Canada." Then the coverage was biased toward Tampa Bay, Boston, and New York. It was disgusting....and it'll never change. ABC...Anybody But Canadiens.

funny thing is Habs haven't lost a back to back game. best Habs start since the late 50s? did I hear right? Skilly? (76-77 Habs 15-4-3 after 22 games, so I guess Ws in the SO making the difference)

Yes, the Bruins were depleted...but they were also on a 3-game winning streak. Get bent, HNIC. yeah, how many times did I hear that tonight. According to Healy that was the Providence Bruins. Did HNIC mention that Chiarelli traded away Seguin & Boychuk? Maybe they wouldn't be so depleted if their GM didn't make those deals.

Well we beat the NHL ruins in the playoffs plus a couple times this year. Why wouldn't we beat the Providence Bruins? As if they had a chance to begin with. I hate being forced to watch HNIC on Saturdays.
Despite being outshot I didn't think Price had to stand on his head. He was able to see most shots and made it look easy.

Not a pretty game by any stretch, but glad to win. Allen looked pretty good with Weaver, and I like that he got in Lucy's face when the latter crosschecked Weaver (to no call). They played 30 some games together in Florida several years ago, but no idea if they were paired.

Of course the NHL rigged the schedule so that for each Bruin-Hab game the Bruins would play the night before while the Habs were rested. But how about Flyers and Red Wings, and Bruins and Rangers, on successive weekends? That's at least a speed bump for the Habs, isn't it?

We have 3 very good lines. Anyone of them can dominate a game. The 4th line is also solid and not a liability - thank you Manny. Great depth on d. And the best goalie in the league. So yes a team with injuries doesn't stand a chance even if they want to goon it up.
And just wait until we get our PP going.
As i've posted many numerous times: PK is solid in our end but where did his offence and rushes go?

Habs played Boston on the back end of back to back games three times last year, guess what the Habs record was....3-0. No excuses. I had a DM conversatioon on twitter with Jack Edwards himself, I told him it was too bad the Bruins weren't healthy because if we beat them we wouldn't hav bragging rights. He replied "Of course you would, no excuses" Only the Canadian brodcast company has a problem giving credit where credit is due.. 21h 21 hours ago Jack Edwards And even that is not enough. Good luck tonight! Long live the rivalry. 14h 14 hours ago Habs fan It really is too bad the B's don't have a full lineup. If Habs win, we don't have bragging rights. 13h 13 hours ago Jack Edwards Oh yes you do. That's the beauty of it. No excuses, no whining allowed.

The media (except RDS/TVA) are giving no respect to the Habs. Almost every power ranking around the Habs are as low as 14th! None have them as a top team. Maybe we'll have to win 10 in a row. We are 10-2 vs the East this year. 6-1 vs the Atl, 4-1 vs the Met. 5-3-1 vs the West. How can they not give us respect when we are beating up on the Conference! it's unreal.
8-2 in last 10, only team in the NHL with 15 wins
We play tonight then we have a week off then a home and home vs Buffalo. Great time to get some practice in a get that Power Play back in order.

Interesting how different Jack's demeanour is when he isn't spouting drivel to a hostile Bruin fan base.

I survived!! Wore my white Habs jersey proudly the whole afternoon. My favourite was walking on the Charlestown bridge where an excited fan rolled down his window and in that great Boston drawl yelled: "GO HABS GO. GO THE F#%K HOME!!" He laughed, I laughed, it was all good.
Getting in and out of that building is horrific. 2 entrances for 18000 people? What a joke. My Dad and I had a blast, sat next to a couple from Vermont who were also Canadiens fans.
