Seems a little weird. He will not be able to go back to Hamilton without passing through waivers first.
Patches-DD-PAP Galchenyuk-Pleks-Gallagher Sekac-Eller-Prust Weise-Malhotra-Tangardi
Bournival (said to come back this week if he gets green light)
Subban-Markov Emelin-weaver Gonchar-Gilbert
Allen
Is it just me or we seem a little thin compared to beginning of season?
I don't like our defense. I don't like our top line. I would put our bottom six against any other teams'.

I suspect Bournival will have a stint in Hamilton. No doubt having Tangradi up exposes him to potential waivers. While he should be a replaceable part, his got size we can certainly use.
I had thought his call up might be a prelude to another roster move by Berg, but he's rarely that transparent.

Or maybe the whole idea is to be able to put Tangradi on waivers, and hopefully lose both him and his cap hit.

Bigger question....
Why is Tangradi a Hab?

When we send him down again, I seriously doubt anyone will claim him. It's a small risk and with every team having guys like Tangradi, why bother shuffling deck chairs?

Bigger question.... Why is Tangradi a Hab? To fill out the roster in case a forward gets injured?

Will MT play 12 forwards now?

Maybe the Habs can solve the mystery with this kid he was projected to be a pretty good NHL'er but there are a million of these guys...saw him last Friday he can skate really well. Habs can always could use another big body that can mcve....doesn't seem like a 4th liner so unless he plays with some edge he maybe just another warm body...here's hoping he can add something....last junior yearr 88pts in 55 games.

He was drafted right before PK and played with PK. The guy has the tools, size and speed... not sure if he's another Bourque (all the tools but no toolkit). would love for him to blossom on the habs.

I see him more of a Weise type player. Size and speed. He can hit and will drop the gloves if needed. The bonus, he can play the PK without being a liability. I'm excited to see what he can bring to the table.

After a couple of games, I get the feeling that getting Tangradi for Budaj was part of the plan, we got a biggger, younger forward, and letting go of Moen and Bourque was that much easier with NHL-caliber depth in the AHL.
