I find it hard to understand why Subban isn't playing anywhere near how he used to do....especially against weaker teams.
Is it him....the checking he's receiving....or coaching?

I swear DD has lost every board battle tonight. I'm not picking on him...it's just on the screen.
I guess I'm expecting our so-called FIRST line to be ALL OVER the Sabres...not to be completely neutralized.

They usually seem to get better as the game goes on, but the slow starts really should have stopped.

More of that please, get the puck to the net and crash it. The guys are working hard and controlling things, but too much perimeter crap.

I'm watching the Canucks/Blue Jackets game and the Canuck defencemen are really rushing into the play. Weber (remember him?) has joined the rush several times. Course, the forwards have to cover when that happens, but if you have defensively responsible forwards, it's a good way to play since sometimes the d are in better position to join the rush than a forward. I don't think you could say our d join the rush much. Beaulieu did, but no one else consistently, even PK.

Darn close to 2-0....as the puck glances off Price's mitt and lands on top of the net.
Price has a laugh about it....stay cool, I suppose...but one more Sabres' goal and this one's over, IMO.

this game is becoming unwatchable. If they can't score a goal against Buffalo maybe they just aren't as good as we thought.

what's up with Gallagher. It's now 2 goals in his last 18 games.

We don't have any offensive flow/pressure at all. It's mind-boggling. Looks like pre-season out there. Too many changes? Gonchar, Allen, now Tangradi? MT being out-coached by Nolan?

Gonchar off for a hook.

I say coaching and having the A I don't blame the coaches. Why would you commit 72 million $ to someone & then put a leash on him. He's making 9 million & playing a 3 million guy. He could be such a difference maker yet he seem sindifferent.

I don't think its the recent changes. The core hasn't changed.

Pleks goes offside to ruin a good rush. He's been kind of brain dead tonight.

I don't think its the recent changes. The core hasn't changed. Then what the heck is it? We lose tonight...we could very well lose tomorrow. The Sabres have nothing to lose....but if we're really contenders, then this game should well in hand by now. Another Sabres' PP....and Prust got 2 and 10 for unsportsmanlike... Pleks can't beat Jonas Vezina....

At the end of the 2nd period, Luca Sbisa was leading a counter attack by the Canucks. Yes, he's a defenceman. Not that I'm advocating our guys doing that, they'd all get caught on 2 on 1's as the d has no speed.

This is how we played vs. the Rangers....it's just that it's not out of control and we've had the puck a bit more because it's the Sabres.
But a complete lack of offensive presence, flow....the boys are off their game against one of the basement dwellers.
Why wouldn't Therrien change up the lines in a game like this? Spark the boys....he just keeps throwing out the same units.

Now over 6 periods without a goal. And the last time they played Buffalo they scored one in 65 minutes.
I could excuse the Ranger game. They're playing a good team at the end of a difficult schedule. But they have had 4 days off to prepare for the worst team in the league & we see this kind of effort. In over 5 periods of hockey against Buffalo they have one goal! I guess I should stop laughing about the Leafs losing to the Sabres.

Lots of concern....layoff as an excuse???..this team has a long way to go....urgency is my biggest concern...when they play with it they are good...too often it's not at the level it needs to be given their talent level...this team needs everyone on board all the time to win consistently.

Molson needs to go to the dressing room and take down the No Excuses sign.... they think they have plenty of excuses.

PK, I've seen you go around players many times without dropping that easily...

Controversial goal...Enroth seemed to have had it frozen.

Finally....PAP scores as the Habs drive the net on the PP.
Even DD! Down digging hard. Credit where it's due.
Enroth was stepping on the puck...but that doesn't count as coverage.
