Really looking forward to this game.
The Avs have 6Ws in their last 10 games, albeit close wins. Two in a SO, one in OT, 2 in regulation by 1 goal, and a 5-2 win over Dallas.
They have forwards who can give our D a lot of trouble. But they're far from a fortress in their own end.
Gotta come out ready to go….but long flight, altitude, 3rd game in 4 nights….yadda yadda….I can hear it now.

I fear another loss. The pessimist in me has emerged.

Sekac...1-0.
That line entered as a trio....Eller kept possession over to Sekac who finished with a nice shot to the lower corner.
Puck possession is a wonderful thing.

Price was sharp early with a couple of nice saves....one point-blank on Landeskog.
Always tense when he and MacKinnon are on the ice....
But the boys have had a large amount of zone time after the Sekac goal.
Amazing what the first goal can do...

Pacioretty can't beat Pickard on a short breakaway chance.

Avs tie it with 33 seconds left....Briere....
Figures.....
Price cleared it around the boards....Weaver was not ready....tried to chip it past Briere...puck goes briefly to Sekac who can't negotiate with Eller...and Briere goes in alone and scored where Pacioretty did not.

Eller really blew his coverage on that one.

Came in around the 10-minute mark ... from what I saw it was all Montreal territorially ... Colorado wasn't in the game at that point and Briere does his John LeClair imitation ...
Cheers.

Finish a decent period with a complete breakdown in the final minute. Way to go guys. Can't figure out how they awarded 2 assists on Briere's goal. Looks like all the help came from MTL players.

Eller really blew his coverage on that one. Watched the play several times on PVR. Eller saw the puck going to Sekac and he was in the process of taking off for the counter attack....not his fault that the puck never got to Sekac. Good stick by Briere to sweep it away from reaching Sekac. I can handle those kinds of "mistakes". Briere's a pretty crafty player. Unless the rule is to stay with your man at all times until you're sure your team has possession. I'd rather Pacioretty had scored on his similar chance.

Right jkr. Should've been unassisted, as Price passed it around the boards, then Weaver chipped it.

What was Markov doing on O'Reilly's goal ... #disconcerting

2-1 Avs early in the second.
Markov was puck-watching.
Nice pass from behind the net by Tanguay.
Getting beaten by former Habs...

We should be able to regain control of this game....but that remains to be seen.
Galchy hits the post.
Subban sets up Parenteau for a glorious chance...misses the net.

Markov with the old backdoor!
2-2. Galchy spots him! Tanguay missed Markov sneaking in.

Duchene hits the post over to the other post....and it bounces to Price...
Lucky there...
Emelin victimized by Duchene's speed.

Markov with the old backdoor! 2-2. Galchy spots him! Tanguay missed Markov sneaking in. When I see them make that kind of play, why does our pp suck? Double post behind Carey.

Other than giving up the first period marker by Briere, Eller's line has been dominant ... nice to see a PP goal, too ... Markov atoning for earlier ... right on ...
Cheers.

Somehow...we get caught for a 4-on-1. Weaver with a ridiculous pinch deep...and gets caught.
3-2 Avs...as a sliding Prust knocks the puck past Price.
What a mess....

Can Beaulieu and Tinordi be any worse for our D? Really?
Weaver, Gilbert, Allen, Gonchar....and Emelin is being beaten quite regularly lately....
If we had more authority in our own zone, we'd be a vastly different team.

I saw some highlights, basically Avalanche forwards skating past our D.
