Just another hockey play gone wrong.
So unfortunate.
Didn't we get a penalty for a play just like that not too long ago?

I mean, it's not as if Garbutt has a history of dirty play or anything….more like a recent past….

Didn't garbutt just come back from a suspension? The refs should be looking closely at guys like him yet he escapes with no penalty.

That didnt look that bad to me ... he didnt look like he hit his head off the boards/glass. Does Weaver have a concussion history?

Is anyone surprised? The refs have been a joke for a long time now. No accountability, no media or fan scrutiny is allowed... they don't even put their names on their back anymore. They are the Untouchables who are beyond reproach.

Weaver missed one game in Jan. 2013 with a concussion.

On the very first replay, you can see his helmet bounce off the glass. Not a direct blow to the head…but a dangerous hit. Pretty sure that I read he does have a concussion history.

Slowing the first replay down, you can see he delivers a forearm to Weaver's head too

Right, Skilly…I missed that.
Another blown call, not only by the ref, but by the league in not reviewing it…especially considering Garbutt's recent knee on Hall.
Perhaps they'd have ruled that Weaver knew Garbutt was coming and still turned into the hit…who knows?

Weaver is so short....it doesn't take much for a head shot. I don't think it was intentional.

Weaver is so short....it doesn't take much for a head shot. I don't think it was intentional. That could be part of it. I thought that I saw, from the side boards angle, that Garbutt's shoulder pad hit Weaver's head into the glass. The most annoying thing was Prust getting a penalty later on for looking cross-eyed at Garbutt. That's about the worst that I saw, him glaring at Garbutt and we get a penalty. Duh? Obviously Garbutt has not achieved Gallagher status yet.
