Start the scooter, if not the car.
I didn't see enough of the game to warrant an opinion. We keep winning, despite not looking good doing it.

Saw none of it. Habs posted a link on twitter to Sekac's goal. Was pretty impressive.

Saw all of it and there wasn't much to see. Had to rely on Carey being first star to win against the lowly Canes. Boys must have had a great Xmas as they had no jump,or desire tonight. Did not deserve this game.
I think gonchar may now be our best all around dman - go figure.

Team flew in to Raleigh on Saturday I believe. Practiced Sunday. After an Xmas break, not hard to see how some might be lethargic. That would be more understandable if it wasn't a pattern all season.

Saw the whole game ... the juniors were on too ... Sekac, Eller, Prust, Beaulieu and Price were the players I noticed the most tonight ... Price's game ... Beaulieu with 19:20 TOI (4th-most)... Prust with a good fight in the 1st ... Eller looking a lot better with Sekac on his wing ...
Cheers.

Eller's goal was nice. Looked like from the cycle. Weise out of corner to faceoff dot, Eller with a quick snapper to the top shelf.

That would be more understandable if it wasn't a pattern all season. and if the opposition was just as lethargic after the break. that being said, they played well enough to win and they did . . . even if it was on Carey's back. but then again, isn't that why he's paid the big bucks?

Was at a friend's house switching between Jr.s and Leafs-Bolts.
Leafs blow another 2-goal lead and lose 3-2 in regulation.
They were terrible….all Reimer.
Would really like to see us relying less upon Price being the first star....but that puck's in Bergevin's corner.
Because this pattern ain't gonna last.
Habs' goalie-wise, I hope Fucale is the real deal because he played a great game vs. the Finns tonight. Very solid positionally…and quick lateral movement.
If he pans out a la Price, we're in good stead in goal for quite a few years to come.

Less than 2 weeks ago TSN had a panel talking about the Leafs being cup contenders Bob MacKenzie was the only one who said "hold on a minute boys". The rest of the TSN folks just keep drinking the kool-aid and as the Leafs swoon again they become bitter about the Canadian teams, particularly Mtl, who keep 'disappointing' the TSN talking heads. I hope you're right about Zach but it is very difficult to say - think Pogge. But given there are 3 or 4 teams that could win gold this year and no one would be surprised, a hot or elite goalie could steal the gold. This edition of Team Canada is ho-hum. Don't see the tenacity and team spirit that is the hallmark of other Canadian gold medal teams. I may be wrong but not that impressed. And Mcdavid ain't the 'next one'. I certainly wouldn't be tanking for him.

McDavid still isn't fully in game condition and I mean that timing wise. He's made some great setups that others haven't finished, or he'd have 3 more points at least. I'd go for him. He has amazing speed and he plays the game at such a high level that the game seems slower for him. At least the patience he's shown and the touch he has with the puck, suggest that. He just flew past a Finnish dman today and sent a great pass to Lazar, who hit the goalie's glove. If I was Grouxl, I'd consider breaking up Lazar and McDavid. There doesn't seem to be enough chemistry there and Lazar isn't fast enough to keep up. Not that Lazar isn't a good player, just that his skill set doesn't complement McDavid's enough. I'm still disappointed that Del Colle didn't make the team. I think they could use another scorer, or at least play Point a bit more. There's a kid with speed and smarts.
Yeah, Zach still hasn't made me comfortable. Bob McKenzie kept talking about his great rebound control today, while highlights were playing of one puck after another bouncing off him, back into play. I thought his rebound control was poor. He smothered a few long shots and held them, but I wouldn't class that as good rebound control. I sure hope he helps Canada win, though, and ups his trade value. (Yeah, I'm already deciding on him and he's not 20 yet. Silly of me).

I saw a few rebounds, too….but the few I saw went either to the boards or to a Canadian player out front with no Finns around….so I thought those rebounds were by design. Can't be certain about that, though.
But like you said, seventeen, he's not even 20 yet.
He's likely earned the start against the U.S. tomorrow afternoon….I'll watch his rebounds more closely.

I went back and forth between the juniors and our club ... I thought there were some positives, so I posted them ... hoping for a better effort tonight against the Panthers ... I know they played last night but they've also had almost a week off too ... as far as the juniors go, the big one is tomorrow night against the USA ... it would be a tough call which game I'd watch if it were on tonight ... Cheers.

I read how good Domi was but I never watched any OHL games with him playing but this kid is really good, high hockey IQ, sees the ice really well. It is nice to see McCarron score a goal without Domi on his line.

Was more or less an even match through two periods, though we were up by two. Hurricanes made a huge push in the third, and their PP goal came off what looked like embellishment by Staal (who also got the goal).
Good bounce back game for Sekac, whose goal was pure determination.

It is nice to see McCarron score a goal without Domi on his line. One game where McCarron had 3 assists, it was he creating the goals for Domi. Sometimes a player looks good (Blair McDonald) playing with a superstar (Gretzky) because he has a lot more space, but that's not the case with McCarron. He gives as well as receives. I'm not concerned at all that he's living off the coattails.
