Malholtra and Weaver in, Sekac and Gilbert out. I also heard Eller might be on the wing tonight.

Love that Maclean's cover!
I'm assuming Lupul & Phaneuf are still out?

Sit Eller and put Sekac with DLR, if MT wants to try DLR at 3rd line centre to see his chemistry with his winger Sekac.

MT said that Eller at wing was an experiment and subject to change. In other words, expect it to last no longer than 1 period if not less. He's making the changes he should have made halfway through the Edmonton game. A little delayed reaction. Reminds me of the guy in front of you at the traffic light who just sits there while it turns green. And sits there. And sits there. And finally realizes, OMG, I should be moving. And just then the light goes amber. He gets through, but you don't. Infuriating. Exactly like MT.

After the 3 recent losses to lowlights, I expect a 60-minute domination of the pitiful, fragile, leaderless Leafs.
If we give them room to skate...like we did with Arizona, Buffalo, and Edmonton....some new words will be invented tonight on this board!

I understand the Sekac benching. He has not played well the last few games. He needs a rest and an opportunity to watch from above. Fo all his talent and often domination of shifts his point total is surprisingly low. He will be a good one, but right now he's still learning and the break might do him good.
It shouldn't matter who we have in the line up to beat the Laughs. But let's not kid ourselves, they will be pumped. For all the abuse they've taken the last month plus, they know it will be a significant reprieve if they can beat the much hated Habs.

always nice to see the game previews, especially TSN and CBC, referring to the FIRST PLACE HABS. And the non-playoff Leafs. The universe is unfolding in its natural order!

The leafs read the papers (at least I think they can read) and listen to the sports channels as everybody else does. They know they are heading in the lottery direction and they know that Mtl has lost to Buffalo, Arizona and Edm. also teams heading south in the standings.
They have to know that they have a very good chance of beating us.....well, maybe not so much them beating us as us beating ourselves.
I am surprised that the leafs haven't brought up Orr and/or Frazer to rekindle the "Truculent" factor and give Neanderthal Nation something to slobber over by pounding out a few opponents.
Anyways, I expect a close game that will be a toss up. This game should not come down to Kadri Price, but I think it will.

Don Cherry errr Dave Hodge said this in his Thumbs up Thumbs down article on TSN. I hope he`s joking otherwise it really is trashy journalism that feeds the Toronto centric hatred of the Habs and TSN should be ashamed of themselves. Thumbs up to Tank busting Habs

It is tongue in cheek, but with an emphasis on how badly the Habs have played the lower echelons of the League. Here's hoping for a Habs win and a Jets regulation time win and a OT Vancouver/Calgary decision. Points for all the Canadian teams. (Except the Leafs).

We look at partial speed again. At least Patches line was. PLeks looks a little better. Don't need a GPS tonight. Spending all our time in our zone.

We're giving them too much room....
Chasing the play...instead of dictating.
Another slow start.
But we get a PP.

STill half speed, even on the PP. Shake em up, Therrien. Do some yelling, get the blood flowing a bit.
Galchy fans on a pass, 2 on 1, Carey saves.

We give up a shorthanded 2-on-1....Price has to come up big.
Pleks in the box for a hook.
Another stellar start against a garbage team.

They should have a display in the corner of the tv screen showing MTs blood pressure during first periods. ... it would be like the noise meter for fans

Easy to blame Markov for flipping the puck in the stands, but on that play he had full control and not one of our guys moved to a spot where he could make an easy pass. they were all looking. There's not much energy in this group today...like it always is against poor teams. What is it with these guys not respecting bottom feeders?

We should be ALL OVER the Leafs.
100% unacceptable.
Should be a shooting gallery on Bernier.
3 measly shots 11 minutes in.

Down 1-0, in other news the sky is blue.
