Give teams with marginal skill a bully and you'll see what they get away with. I almost want to say screw the score, let others know it's not open season on our players. I feel this way as well. But Prust can only do so much.

Just got in ... SOG in the 2nd 17-15 Montreal ... that might be the first thing that's wrong ... how do the Senators get 15 shots against a defensive team like the Habs ... Cheers. Emelin jammed his shoulder against the boards on the first shift of the game. Subban blocked a shot with his foot on a Sens' second period PP. He hasn't returned. Had all kinds of trouble getting off the ice. In fact, he stayed out for about 20 seconds because of zone pressure.... then Markov gave him a push to the bench when the puck was finally cleared. A heroic shift for PK....but the Habs shouldn't have even been a man down. The Sens were getting away with all kinds of stuff before they called Montreal.

Loose...but entertaining game. Gilbert misses an empty net....Sekac with a nice pass to set him up. PP coming up. Gilbert has been bad at both ends of the ice.

We are D-pleted for yet another game.
Emelin won't be back...and the way Subban went off the ice...that looked bad.
I can't see a more controlled third.
But hey... the refs aren't doing their jobs and the Sens have impunity. What's Therrien's speech in the room between periods?
I really wonder what he's saying.

On our only PP, I noticed that Subban was being hooked--pretty plainly. Didn't have the guts to put us on a 5-on-3 since that wouldn't be fair to them, I guess.

And it wasn't a marginal hook. Condra had his stick in Subban's elbow. Would have been an easy call for a referee with the guts to make it.

Coming out of our zone near our blue line....I saw that and YELLED! It was a ridiculously blatant hook.

I don't like being a team that still can't play the rough stuff when necessary.
Man, too bad about Tinordi....for whatever reason.
McCarron can't get here soon enough.

I just saw the replay ... Subban's a trooper but it looks more than just a big bruise ... Cheers.

the refs aren't doing their jobs and the Sens have impunity. What's Therrien's speech in the room between periods? where is MT's stuff at the refs after the game? take the fine . . .what are they going to do, let the other teams get away with garbage as punishment? I know he's kinder and gentler, but it's time for the Habs management to take a stand.

The third just started and the Senators are skating as well as the Red Wings did last game ... that's only less than five minutes in the third ...
Cheers.

Hoping Galchenyuk and Pleks can get something going this period.
Max, DD, and Weise seem to be affected by the rough play.

Next time we play Ottawa, we dress Connor Crisp and Jack Nevins, along with Tinordi. That should be enough. We'll have enough injuries by then that it will just be normal call-ups.

Our PP continues to be a weakness.
It picked up about 3 weeks ago...but nothing lately.
Now we're getting a penalty. Ahhhhh.....

His passes are normally perfect and tonight they're giveaways. He missed setting up Eller for a clear shot and then we too, a penalty as a result. Sigh.

We choose Gryba, over and over again. He'll be so tired the last guy will kick is butt to kingdom come. The message gets sent. I don't mind tough hockey, but I hate dirty hockey and Gryba is midden heap variety.

I'm shutting this one off. I don't need the stress....spent 5 hours in traffic today. Thought I'd unwind with the game. Should've known better.

There's something about Price in the net that changes the way we play. If I was going to bitch, that's a distinct kicking motion. How else can you not put the puck in if you miss it with your stick?. Pushing it through with your leg and skate is, ahem, not a kick. Seriously, the league needs to change the wording of that rule. I figure if it goes in any way with your leg, tough. But naturally, it won't go that way.

Could Galley be a bigger cheerleader. Nope. He's brutal. Along with Millen, make up two of the few Sens fans around.

I think it's a goal, but considering how many good ones we've had called back this year, I'd like to see one go our way for a change.
