Ottawa's gonna win again....this time over Winnipeg. They need a goalie injury. God, I want no part of a possible first round match against those guys.

Our D are turning it over a lot early. Big forecheck is working against them.

I like that Mitchell hit. Sandpaper that we don't normally have.

It looks like Carey's intimidation factor is on holidays rght now. Those usually go off the post and out. 1-0 Ducks.

Good pressure by the 3rd line. DLR with a decent shot up high, but Gibson had it hit him.

Perfect shot off the post by Beauchemin.
But what happens on the defensive coverage?
Only Gilbert was back in terms of dmen. Petry pinched and got caught.
Flynn went for the puck carrier who was already covered.
Which left Eller alone on the left side.
Looked bad.

The last thing I want to win is the Presidents trophy. It's just a distraction.
GAlchy's passes have been blocked a fair amount lately. NOt like him at all.

Mitchell with Pleks and Galchy.
Is that a line combo? Or just a line overlap?

Pretty good game so far by both teams. Habs are getting used to the higher pace required.

Mitchell with Pleks and Galchy. Is that a line combo? Or just a line overlap? Mt is experimenting... which given the new additions and lack of practice time i can understand. I want dd and gallagher seperated. Put weise on the top line and put bgal with pleky and agal

So, a big deal about getting a RD, and we have two lefties together and two righties. Hmmm.

I guess it's gonna take a bit for the new recruits to gel.
We outshot them 15-10 in that period....but it didn't seem like it.
The Ducks seem to be dictating the play, from my perspective.
AROUND THE LEAGUE:
Clarkson out 4-6 weeks. What a non-entity he's been since a good season in New Jersey.
And Bruins' deadline pickup Connolly is out for 6 weeks with a broken finger.

I the ducks goal was flukey and we've had some good chances. We really need to move one of the small guys off the top line when on the road against a western team. They try hard but can't win the board battles.

Working much harder tonight which is good but no finish as usual from the usual suspects. Gilbert is brutal for the second game in a row. Looking forward to Emelins return.
I really hate these California trips
