not that the PP is any good, but it would be nice to have a chance at breaking the 0-fer -- especially for blatant infractions

Well, sorry, there was a change about 2 months ago, or so, when they focused on using the forwards more and not putting the puck back to the point, but that has gone by the wayside. It's same old, same old again. No one's committed them yet. But don't worry, it will sort itself out. Probably by the time they hit the 19th green.

Cooper's thinking, "We'd be up 4-0 if Price was human."

63-37% puck possession for the Bolts.
Yep. Nice road game we're having.
If anybody ever tells me that Price isn't the reason we're where we are in the standings....
It HAS to be Therrien's system.

We lost possession along the boards while outnumbering them 3 to 2. Lots of indications they're outworking us.

I can't believe Price just made that save.
If the boys aren't inspired by that.....
This game is an embarrassment.
Therrien is being SCHOOLED!

We lost possession along the boards while outnumbering them 3 to 2. Lots of indications they're outworking us. Maybe the Lightning are better. They've certainly been out skating us tonight. I always hear about different coaches systems. The hockey I see everyone plays pretty similar. The difference is in the execution.

If this is how we're going to play...we're looking at a first round exit. Price made that save sliding to his right as that's where the shot should've gone....but it went to his left and he still got it.

2 shots this period now 31- 19... Regardless of the out come tough seeing us beating 4 out of 7 unless Habs can even out the playing field Bishop having a picnic compared to Price

I always hear about different coaches systems. The hockey I see everyone plays pretty similar. The difference is in the execution. True, execution, attention to detail. How is the team prepared? Are they too loose? Too tight? Relaxed alertness is a term I've heard for an ideal state. A coach can affect his teams preparedness.

The shots are 10-2 so far this period.
Sure hope Price has a few more saves in him.

I knew Tampa was a beast but unless we are running out of gas after the road trip this isn't really that close especially in this period....boys look like they are playing for OT not a great idea

The LIghtning are outskating us. Theyre often to the puck first and since the first period we've had very few odd man rushes because they've been backchecking well. Thats why I was joking about getting excited on the 3 on 4. Our guys look tired, don't they?
I'll cut them one break. Regardless of how long they've been in town, its the first game back from a longish road trip and teams often suck in those situations.

This is a familiar refrain after that western road trip which exposed, I think, just how big the holes are on this team.

Embarrassing. This team has no leader that just picks them up and drives. No one. Just sit back and pray for Carey to do it all. Disgusting.
