We could improve that facet by dressing Pateryn. In a way, I wouldn't mind if Gilbert suffered a minor injury and had to sit out a couple of games. I like Pateryn's game and he and Beaulieu have fitted well together. Pateryn doesn't join the rush as well as Gilbert, but that's Beaulieu's job anyway. Pateryn would have some Sens keeping their heads up, for sure. how did I miss putting him in? that was the first name I thought of when I was listening! I think the Sens are giddy and it has turned into selective blindness about their team (probably on par with mine about our team -- the only difference: I'm right!)

The key to the series will be how many times we get Lee and Pollack

Habs in six. It'll come down to goaltending and defensive play. Price, as always, will be the difference maker.

Just want to refresh everyone's thinking going into this series. (Hence the bump) No one had us sweeping the Sens in 4 and rightfully so. We're up 3-1 coming home for a game 5 tilt in the Bell Centre, we couldn't possibly be in a better position than the one we find ourselves with considering the thinking going in.
This has been a very hard fought, very exciting series up to this point, sans game 4 . The boys are full credit for their lead in this series, and have been the better team anyway you look at it. Again game 4 could have been better, but truth be told neither team looked all that great last night, if anything that should be more a concern for Ottawa then the habs, they had everything to play for and barely squeaked out the victory to keep themselves on life support despite our apparent lack of urgency.
It would have been nice to knock them out in 4 no doubt, and it is a bit disappointing we didn't take advantage of that opportunity, but they have done a great job in the overall scheme of things in terms of results and in the way that the series has been played out thus far.
3-1 going home for game 5 against a Sens team I'm not sure any team would have wanted to play in the first round, nevermind just us, is far more than any of us could have legitimately expected. It's all good boys, just wanted to remind and give everyone a little perspective. Things could be a hell of a lot worse and not much better at this time.
Besides, there's nothing better than a playoff game in Montreal nevermind a series clincher, And I could never get tired of watching them. I for one am happy to get to enjoy another in front of my TV with cold beverage in hand, the boys end it tomorrow.
Go Habs!!
