So you would healthy scratch him if he was ready to play? We're not winning the cup this year imo. Why risk a long term injury. You know the Sens will go after him way harder than if he had no injury. I can see that POS Grybra or Boro-idiot cheap shotting him. That, in my humble opinion defies all logic. The goal of the #1 team in the Eastern conference is not to win, but to make sure nobody gets hurt badly? They should sit Price, Gallagher, Galchenyuk, Subban and Markov as well then?

As expected, the Senators attempt at restricting ticket sales backfires: thing is, I was a partial season ticket holder for a coupla years and could have re-upped and gotten tickets for all their playoff games this year. heck, the 3 games that they play (I did predict the Habs in 6) could have come close to paying for next year's package.

Thats not what im saying...If max is not 100% then he shouldn't play. Putting him in at 70 or 80% should not happen. Time for others on this team to earn their paychecks.

Like I said earlier, this may not be the matchup we wanted but it is what it is and I for one believe the Habs need to win a series when the pressure and expectations are squarely on them. We flew under the radar a bit last year against Tampa and Boston, but we can't sneak up on anybody this round.
I picked Habs in 6, but I'm deeply concerned Pacioretty doesn't play in this series. He hasn't even been put through light contact yet so I have to believe Friday is probably out of the question as well. I think it's fair to surmise that he didn't feel good enough after the Monday skate to engage in a full practice on Tuesday.
Best case for me is a split of the first 2 games and Pacioretty is back for Game 3 on Sunday.

The goal of the #1 team in the Eastern conference is not to win, but to make sure nobody gets hurt badly? They should sit Price, Gallagher, Galchenyuk, Subban and Markov as well then? My expectations haven't waned at all, but they got harder not only with the way the Senators have been playing of late, but also because of the Max factor ... Ottawa's been the best team in the league over the past 30-odd games however, I think both them and Montreal Ottawa will go as far as their goaltending will take them and I qualify that by citing what happened to Tampa Bay last year when Bishop was out ... as I say that I look at the Rangers and it's possible they may have the best 1-2 goaltender tandem in the playoffs this year ... don't get me wrong, they've got a great team but it starts in goal ... as for tonight, I'm interested in seeing how the team copes with the Max factor ... might give us an indication where the series is going ... Cheers.

The Sun is a rag.... i won't even use it in the litter box Sun now owned by PostMedia (I think they own just about every newspaper across Canada now . . . not all but pretty close). Sun and Citizen owned by them, as well as National Post; not the Star and the Globe.

Pretty concerned but I always am ...I do believe the Habs have another level we have seen it but Patches is a huge hole..... They are going to need that level because looking at the line up scoring wise not to indimidating.
If Habs play their structured game and can carry a bit of physicality without getting stupid they should win but the bounces and mistakes seem to have been going against us.
Win without Patches tonight huge boost.
Go Habs

With Patches down, Galchenyuk is going to have to step up big time. We need him to start coming through in these games.

Galchenyuk shows such amazing flashes I hope the coaching staff has told him to be more selfish he has a elite shot he needs to use it way more....he absolutely has the skill set to tip the tables for the Habs more often than not.
Go Habs

That requires relenquishing some control on the part of the coaching staff. Do you think that's possible?

That's the case with most goalies. They're so big and their pads are so wide that they cover the lower part of the net really well. "Roof it" should be a mantra.

Prust on a line with Plekanec and Galchenyuk, at least for the opening faceoff.

I already don't like what I see. The guys are too pumped. Galchenyuk slashed Karlsson after the whistle. No need. It's as if we're looking for trouble. Relax boys.

We have to win some face offs. Spending all of our time chasing the puck.
