Microfracture. Play through that son. Play through, so we can hit it, lean on it, etc. A slash is more a hockey play than a head shot. Politic some place else Murray. Brian Murray should stop worrying about last night and worry about how his team did not score an even strength goal while the habs scored 3 and got a shortie while missing Patches and PK.

Bryan Murray on now .. "The Gryba incident was a hockey play gone bad ..." "This was deliberate, he hit him a few during the game (with stick), then two handed him out in front ..." Isn't every slash deliberate? The Sens were doing some stick swinging behind the play from the opening face off. Sometimes they hurt, sometimes they don't. It's part of hockey, and when someone gets hurt it is a "a hockey play gone bad". Welcome to the big leagues Mes. Murray and Stone. Sure is nice to be on the other side of all this belly-aching! I guess Gryba's hit was not deliberate, the 2 guys were out figure skating and accidentally ran into each other... what a moron.

Just heard in 690's update that Stone also suffered ligament damage. Murray says he has no mobility in the wrist at all.
Bring it on, Sens.

Got hit in the nuts by accident by a Home Depot cart and sued, claiming I had fractured penis......but nobody believed me..... Just what state of 'awareness' do you walk around in a Home Depot? A collapsed testicle I could understand. I hope it wasn't what Mark Stone has..... Good thing there was no electrical socket nearby... it could have been a shocking display

Nice to hear the Senators and some of their fans playing the victim card for a change ... I suspect Game 2 will have a different tone to it ... I've been reading that a lot of Sens fans want Chris Neil in the lineup just as soon as they can get him in there ... he's getting on in years, but he's still a tough cookie ... he and Prust know each other well, I suppose ... Cheers. I would LOVE to see Chris Neil in the lineup. Our fourth line would eat him up, as would any other line for that matter. Neil's great attribute was that he was a fighter that could play... he can no longer play and nobody is going to fight him in the playoffs. He doesn't have the speed to keep up anymore. So he's not going to catch anybody with a big hit, and if he wants to get into scrums after the whistle then so be it. Let him take a few penalties while he's at it. They'd be playing almost short-handed every time he is on the ice. I am pleasantly surprised that Subban was not suspended. Could very well be, you know ... if Neil is dressed I can see Therrien briefing the troops to just skate away ... good point about the 4th line ... what a playoff debut ... kind of relieved Cameron couldn't dictate terms to the NHL ... kind of disappointed the league opted to let him off the hook for those comments ... just as well ... no need giving the Senators any additional motivation, you know, "... we're playing against the Habs AND the league now" ... that's the way I'd feel, anyway ... Cheers.

I've been reading that a lot of Sens fans want Chris Neil in the lineup just as soon as they can get him in there ... he's getting on in years, but he's still a tough cookie ... he and Prust know each other well, I suppose ... he's cleared to play but there was ( was) no expectation that he would get in because he's slowed down and his hockey sense isn't what it once was. I'd love for him to play: first, they lose someone who can actually keep up, and then the Habs can goad him and he'll be in the penalty box. he's past his due date -- last year I wanted to trade for him (or another big body); this year . . . pass. Just heard in 690's update that Stone also suffered ligament damage. Murray says he has no mobility in the wrist at all. hurt it in the scrum, I imagine. how do you get ligament damage from someone hitting your wrist -- it comes from the way it is bent, no? you know, strange as it may sound, it's nice to be on the other side for once. ok, maybe not so strange at all!

It might be reasonable to assume that Subban will be getting a lot of attention from the Senators in Game 2 ... this whole issue is now driving the series ... would be good to keep Karlsson looking over his shoulder, too ... just sayin' ...
Cheers.

I think PK will get back and play an awesome game, if not tomorrow, certainly in Ottawa. He will be booed everytime he touches the puck at Canadian Tire centre.
He is at his best when booed mercilessly, like Boston......
Like some say, it is nice to be on the other side of the fence once in a while.

Mentioned this to BC earlier, but I wonder if the officials will establish the level of officiating before the game even starts ... it wouldn't surprise me to hear of them reading the riot act to each team before the game ... I've heard of it being done before prior to a game starting or even between periods ... Cheers.

You don't get ligament damage from a whack. Later in the game when he jammed it on the glass in the corner, and went off grimacing. That would be the only time I can see him incurring that sort of damage.

I just love it all because the club is ridiculed for not playing hard enough, or playoff hockey. When they up the ante, and respond in kind, they're vilified for it.

Now Sens are coming forward saying Subban was targeting Stone (and threatening him?) all night.
Meanwhile it's just a regular day at the office for Brendan Gallagher

Meanwhile it's just a regular day at the office for Brendan Gallagher I guess Lucic must think the Sens are a bunch of babies too then, for repeating what is said on the ice. Was it TVA or CBC that showed how Turris was slashing Plekanec behind the legs after every faceoff? I was switching back and forth between the two and can't remember where I saw it. Playoffs baby. Put on your Big Boy Pants. As has been said we've been on the receiving end of those things far too often, and told to suck it up. I think the slash was bad, and if I was in charge Subban probably would have gotten a game, but all this "he called me names and scared me!" talk? Pu-leeze.

How does a guy who's ejected half way through the game target and threaten a guy 'all night'?

What I like is that the Habs gutted this one out. I said earlier that the Habs need to deliver when the pressure and expectations are on them and they need to be able to win even if everything doesn't fall their way. They gave up the first goal, Subban gets tossed, but they rolled up their sleeves and got the job done. That's what contending teams do.
The lack of discipline, however, can't continue. It all started with Eller's penalty after we went up 2-1 and he has a habit of doing that. Subban as well. Just a stupid play on his part regardless.

Turris was interviewed during the second intermission, and was asked about the "rivalry" and bad blood. His answer : "we hate that team, always did"

Dr Skilly
Ummm what exactly is a microfracture? Logically one would think its tiny cracks in the bone ... Hairline fractures so to speak. Yet, medically, microfracture refers to purposefully creating tiny fractures in the bone to stimulate cartilage growth. Which is a procedure to HEAL bad wrists and knees.
All this to say, "microfracture of the wrist" does not exist .... It's a fancy way of saying he got a boo boo, a deep bruise
