If Neil wants to do his impersonation of Lucy and chase our guys around the ice, forgetting about the actual game and his assignments, that's fine. It will lead to penalties and scoring chances.

Agree Dis. Calling it a "microfacture" just to make it sound worse is lame. It's a bone bruise, a term most teams would use. Sounds like the kind of stuff Bruins fans would say about the Habs. Brett Gardner, New York Yankees outfielder, recently had an MRI on his "ailing right wrist (confirming) a micro-fracture bone bruise after X-rays returned negative". "Gardner missed the team's last two contests after getting hit by a pitch...." He's "considered day-to-day". (per The Score) as has been said, the technical term for what the Stoneless one has is "a big boo-boo" or "owwie".

Chris Neil told reporters that pk needs to keep his head up tonight. The NHL didn't fine Cameron….so, of course we have a dunderhead like Neil making threats--setting up another Bertuzzi-like scenario. Not that a fine can control the froth that gets worked up behind closed doors…but if the NHL doesn't use its only deterrent, that's willful neglect. If a Habs gets injured in a clear bounty/hit tonight, I hope he sues the NHL for dereliction of duty. Insane.

let 'em focus in on PK; he's a big boy . . . and score a buncha goals. it's the reverse of the Gryba incident.
oh, and here's the latest from TSN radio Ottawa . . . though Montreal is having a big laugh about the "controversy".

Tonight Perron hacks Hagelin almost exactly the same as Subban hacked Stone. Hagelin didn't fall down , and it was only 2 mins. The crew tonight is singing different tunes tonight, they seem to be making fun of the rhetoric coming out of Ottawa , specifically Bryan Murray expressing his dismay over "threats" on the ice .... Strange how they are do anti Montreal during the Habs actual telecast, and then 180 when not What world is Bryan Murray living in? Threats on the ice happen every game, probably every practice. Probably every road hockey game.

from a Sens fan perspective:
Can you do one thing CBC - get rid of those incredibly one sided announcers. Call the freaking game, don't side up to Montreal because they are a larger market for CBC to sell its product. It's so bad one has to turn off the sound. Why do we have to put up with that?
nobody likes the MotherCorp!

I too liked the way PK brushed it off, telling reporters that he doesn't know why there's so much focus on him when the team rallied and found a way to win.

This series became fun, pdq. Loving this playoff hockey atmosphere where the already microscopic attention to every little thing is cranked up a few notches.
Bottom line is the boys still gutted out the win. The fourth line looked for real, and Flynn and Mitchell warranted why the Berg picked them up (Petry has already done so in spaded imo).
Silly comments Cameron and Neil. Glad how the boys are responding (or not).
Bring it on!!

McIndoe's ( aka down goes brown) pre-series prediction: Something ridiculously controversial will happen in this series, and two hypersensitive fan bases are going to lose their freaking minds over it. If the arenas are still standing after that, Habs in six.

Was it Ray Ferrero who said (paraphrase) that Bryan Murray was a pretty tough coach in his day ... if someone took out one of his players, he had no problem returning the in kind ... he was known for it ... in my opinion, the NHL had a chance to douce his Scheiße Sturm right off the bat ... they could have suspended Subban for one game and fined Cameron for his comments (the way they fined Therrien years ago), but they chose a different avenue ... I guess controversy sells, but the NHL could wind up losing integrity if this isn't handled properly ... Cheers.

Funny video. I think PK would get a good chuckle out of it. That's the kind of guy he is. On ice, all business (as the Sens and their fans will find out the next few games) and off the ice, good natured and able to laugh at himself. Love his attitude and always will. Really wish they would mic him for a game so we could hear his trash talking that causes 'grown men' to cry and whine.

I hope Don Cherry brings out his big gloves tonight! You mean ones like Gretzky wore that, I don't know, actually protect your wrist? His rant about cut gloves back when Mario got hacked in the playoffs is one of the few times I agreed wholeheartedly with him. Wayne's gloves protected him almost all the way up to his elbow pad. That long cuff never stopped him from stick handling or scoring.

Let's not all get too cocky ... we haven't won anything yet Bingo. There's nothing saying that Hammond can't bounce back. And I wouldn't put it past the refs to call a chintzy game against the Habs, so as to "apologize" for not suspending Subban. Plus, if the Sens get up by a couple of PP goals, they'll likely forget about the Neil bounty/Cameron slash….for now…. Win-win for tonight's officials. They sure "controlled" the game. #integritymismanagement Such is the thinking that must go on….

Personally I don't think anything happens with respect to Neil tonight unless the game gets way lopsided (regardless of who's on top). Montreal can control who's on the ice when Neil is on for this game. If anything is going to happen it will be Sunday night.
