I wonder if the Canadiens will be allowed into the building, since they're only allowing Ottawa-area people.

Fix your thread title Dis, it's game 3, not 2. No worries, dude ... I was making the thread while watching the game ... a lot of cuts and pastes while watching Ottawa lose ... again ... Cheers.

I wonder if the Canadiens will be allowed into the building, since they're only allowing Ottawa-area people. Glad I'm not going to Game 3 ... the game is interfering with Game of Thrones as it is ... was listening to PK and he suspects this will be Ottawa's best effort/game of the year and his teammates have to be prepared for that ... wouldn't mind seeing him bury a couple more ... would also like to see Gallagher be rewarded for his efforts ... all over the ice in Game 2 ... Sens fans are very quiet in cyberspace today ... Cheers.

If the boys can jump on Hammond early and take the crowd out of it and we continue to play a solid second period we could win game 3. It'll be interesting to see how much Karlsson gets booed by habs fans

I hope we can get a lead early on and then the Sens can auto-destruct under pressure !
That being said, the only lineup changes I can imagine are DLR and Gilbert (for Parenteau or Pateryn) other than them no one has played badly - though plenty made mistakes and there's more than enough room for improvement !
Though when I think about it, I doubt we'll see Pateryn... in an away game it's much harder to protect the 3d pairing...

Looks like Neil will be in for Chiasson and Anderson to get the start.

Looks like Neil will be in for Chiasson and Anderson to get the start. Will be the first time we've seen him this season. It's been either Lehner or Hammond.

I'm surprised they're making the goalie switch.

I'm surprised they're making the goalie switch. Same here. Hammond wasn't stellar but he wasn't putrid. Many of the goals I'm sure he thinks he could've stopped, but none were complete stinkers. He just let in too many for the number of quality chances he faced, but still, he was decent enough. Though when you think about it, the Sens really need to turn things around at this point, they can't wait for another loss before taking drastic action.

Looks like Neil will be in for Chiasson and Anderson to get the start. I'm happy with that. Neil can be a loose cannon and will wind up in the penalty box. Anderson is decent at best, hasn't had the luck that Hammond has, and has sat because of injury -- even when he's gone in he's been average. I think the odds of a Habs W just went up.

My concern would be that Anderson has a history of playing very well against Montreal. The flip side of that is that he's only played a handful of games since January.

Like I said, I'm surprised, but I watch Hammond and wonder how he's done it. His game doesn't look very good to me. He's gotten results though. i kind of wish they'd have stuck with him. I've seen Anderson stone us. Oh well, the sens are panicking a little bit. So that's good.

My concerns are many ...
There is a history of goalies getting pulled and the back-up stoning us There is a history of goalies making first starts or first starts in long time beating us Anderson always seems to rise to the occasion against us

I'm not surprised about the goalie switch. Hammond hasn't played well & let in some soft goals. Mitchells' wrap around, Plekanec's five hole shot, Pacioretty's goal ( he looked like a seventies stand up goalie) - they were all stoppable shots that he allowed in close games. And he never came up with that really big save. Cameron must feel the same way othere wise he would have stuck with him.

There is a history of goalies getting pulled and the back-up stoning us There is a history of goalies making first starts or first starts in long time beating us Anderson always seems to rise to the occasion against us At least unlike Carolina in 2006 (as I recall), we got wins out of the goalie getting pulled and a solid series lead. Ottawa can come back, but even if it's an even split from now on, we win in 6.

I'm surprised by the switch as Hammy has plyed better than I expected although he does look like an AHLer out there. Sens know the only way they can beat us is with a stellar goaltending performance. Hammy did not give them that and they're down 2-0. so they try next up. I predicted in last week's thread that Hammy would not finish the series and I was worried about Anderson who plays us well. I said my only hope is that when they make the switch we would be up by 2 games. So here we are. Like our chances at this point. If a goalie who has played very little in the last few months can beat us and Carey 4 out of 5, we don't deserve to advance.

The refs will give the sens plenty of leeway tonight. I'm sure Neil will look to go after PK.... just walk away Pk frustrate the crap out of him until he does something stupid and we can score on the PP.

I'd rather keep facing Hammond myself. Better the devil you know, and all that.
Neil is only playing tonight because Cameron couldn't possibly play him on the road. He knows he would lose any matchup battle with Neil on the ice, so that probably tells you everything you need to know about his playing abilities these days. If he wants to go all Neanderthal* on Subban or something tonight, then so be it. I'll take my chances on the power-play.
*No offense to any actual Neanderthals, either living or dead. I've known quite a few Neanderthals in my day, and some of them were quite cultured. Just not the ones who played hockey.

Remember our PP is terrible on the road. After the first two games , we are 13th out of 16 teams. I would not count on our PP. More concerning is our PK is one of the worst in the playoffs too

Neil may be slower but he still knows how to antagonize. He won't be going after PK, imo. It's too obvious and the refs will be looking for it. I can see him going after someone like MaxPac or Plekanec however. They are the two players that matter up front. The team is going to need the two Gallys to really step it up.

Better the AHL'r you know than the NHL'r who's killed us on occasion. It's really important for Montreal to prick Anderson's confidence right away. Get in front of him, fire away and bounce a couple in.

Anderson: timing off, conditioning off, more likely to be up 3-0 with him in, the Sens will have to be in semi-protect mode. I think they believe in Anderson as much as we believe in Toker.

Ottawa broadcasters: everyone hates Gally and PK bit there isn't a GM in the league that wouldn't want them on their team.
