Not good. Agreed. Life time ban from Bell Centre for all events. Not just Habs games. No room for that.

This sickens me. .. Those attendants should be fired and refused entry to hab games for life. Same goes to those dumb asses in the stands, they're F'ing cowards picking on girls. Ive gone to habs sens games in ottawa and ive never had anybody say anything to me.

Inexcusable. But let's face it, there are idiots everywhere, usually alcohol induced. It would be great if they could identify the perpetrators and impose appropriate sanctions.
However, must say that for the victim to now dislike the Habs and their fans is equally inexcusable. I've been mistreated by Americans but don't taint all Yanks with the same brush.

It may just be a heat-of-the-moment comment. I'd be ticked too. And to be honest, I saw a Habs fan pouring beer on a Sens fan at the CTC -- he was rightly pointed out and kicked out. (this is a secondary comment) I've heard abuse towards Habs fans there too but not the beer pour.

This sounds horrible and if true, ban them. There are usually, at least a couple sides to every story.

Heard of it happening in the old Boston Garden to a few Habs fans in attendance ... nothing made the news ... go to Philadelphia and the fans there shout death threats ... nothing in the news ... try going to a Leaf/Habs game in TO around the time Sundin/Roberts were carrying the team and it was very abusive for Habs fans ... the more I think of this the more I just shake my head ... not because it's the wrong thing to do (and it was), but because CBC lead off this story with "why this lady will never be a Habs fan" ... what's the purpose of that ... first it's PK and now it's our fans ... is there another sideshow after Game 3 ... I'm not trying to trivialize what happened to this girl, but I'm sure the media will come up with something ... Cheers.

And why is it national news? It just seems like the "haters" are always looking for an angle and they will twist it to suit their purposes. I don't read internet comments much any more but I am still surprised by the level of anti Montreal, anti French bias. There is so much misinformation, ridiculous generalizations and some downright bigotry out there. Of course the anonymity of the internet just makes it worse.

Certainly not condoning the behaviour of those guys…deal with them accordingly.
But, gee, for some reason I don't recall our media tarnishing the Bruins or their fan base after this clip popped up on the web….posted by a proud Bruins' fan, no doubt.
The Bruins had just beaten the Habs in Game 7 OT, 2011. Does anyone think that's the extent of the abuse this guy--and others--had to endure at that time? i.e. that the group idiocy started at the urinal and stopped after he exited?
Language Warning.
All fan bases have their share of idiots. Not just Montreal's.
Precious how the Sens are playing it, too. The girls will not only be in Melnyk's private suite….but they'll also be shown on the broadcast…and the message will be: "These poor girls. Montreal bad/Ottawa good."
Gotta love that anti-Habs press machine.

It's true that pro sports have their share of idiots who go to games and harass fans of the other team. Hell, soccer leagues around the world have fights that break out in the stands. That certainly doesn't make it all right. Franchises need to have staff that is vigilant enough to remove violators. If the CBC/Sens want to spin this and say, "Look at how awful it is in Montreal," well, that seriously belittles the issue.
Would like to hear from Canadiens fans that attend the CTC tonight. At least, those who are allowed in.

If it comes out that the girls weren't exactly angels as printed, it won't be widely reported either. Doesn't fit the agenda.

I can't believe that the actions of one a$$hole fan make the national news or any news at all. IMO this is a barely a local item. Like the Stone bone bruise, Ottawa has blown this all out of proportion.

Sounds like lots of nonsense at tonight's game in Ottawa. A can of beer thrown at Subban, various fans arrested by Ottawa Police.

Two things ... first, this will never make national news ... secondly, the girl who was "assaulted" in Montreal apparently wasn't minding her own business ... she and the other girl were stirring up as much crap as they could and the Habs fans simply had enough ... I don't have a link to that but if I find it I'll post it ... Cheers.

I remember Lucic being drowned in beer, pop, what have you, in Montreal as he left the ice in a huff during Boston's LOSS against Montreal last year ... Subban is a target not only by fans around the league, but also the league, itself ... he took a cross check to ear last night and no call ... yet had that been him dishing it out ... that brawl in the Ottawa stands last night wasn't about hockey, it was more about the Ottawa media-driven sideshows that have been made with the sole purposes of distracting Montreal ... PK's hack, the little girl who was mugged both resulted in "anything Habs must be excised" ... I'm really hoping the Senators go down in Game 4 ... I've had just about enough of the Ottawa factors ... Cheers.

I'm really hoping the Senators go down in Game 4 ... I've had just about enough of the Ottawa factors ... Cheers. From what I've heard/read, the mainstream media outside of Quebec are nothing more than anti-Habs publicists. On Coach's Corner last night, MacLean asked Cherry what he thought about the crosscheck to Subban's head going uncalled. Cherry said something like: "It's not gonna get called because it's Subban…." and that was it. Almost as if it's a fait accompli. I'll have to watch the segment again but, IIRC, it was said matter-of-factly…i.e. "Too bad! Subban made his own bed…."Quite a different spin than showing highlights earlier in the season in support of his: "The league is picking on Lucic!" He's got time to defend the Bruins and Leafs… Cherry's played a big part in this Subban sentiment.

I'll try to find it later, Mattias, but I heard it from a friend who heard it from a friend who was at the game ... I dropped him a line to see if that was left anywhere in the French media ... I'll try to verify that buds ... Cheers.

From what I've heard/read, the mainstream media outside of Quebec are nothing more than anti-Habs publicists. It's hard for me to criticize the CBC play-by-play teams in this series ... however, the media outside of Montreal has been quite successful in creating a new crisis for every game ... Game 1 it was Subban's hack on Stone ... Game 2 it was the girl being assaulted ... haven't heard the crisis for Game 3 or for Game 4 yet ... The league picking on Lucic, eh ... haven't heard of any victim cards played by the Habs ... in fact, Therrien has been quite controlled in his post-game pressers ... and make no mistake, there were two instances in Game 3 where he'd have been perfectly justified in saying something ... the cross check to Subban's ear and the Karlsson hit on Beaulieu ... I don't buy into Mike Johnson's explaination that there was no intent to injure on Karlsson's part ... we've seen similar hits that, while not targeting the head, did involve the head, where the league chose to suspend the offending player ... and, again, had it been Subban dishing it out ... but the boys just play throught it ... hearing Beaulieu is out for Game 4 ... wouldn't mind seeing Stone laid out by Subban, fairly mind you, to start the next game ... Cheers.
