Turris has been instigating all the crap with Pleks. Unfortunately for Turris, Pleks is a wily veteran and has been winning the match up. I don't like Zach's chances any better. We should be hitting Karlsen every chance. He likes to think he's tough but ultimately that's not his game. Get him off focus. But more importantly, i don't like guys who laugh on the bench after delivering a head shot, legal or otherwise. He should be in our sights for numerous reasons. I'm not sure about that (hitting Karlsson every chance). The last thing I want to do is play Ottawa's game. Yes, if the opportunity presents itself to hit someone really solidly, take it. Other than that, I'd focus more on getting in his way after he passes the puck. When you try to hit someone hard, you fully commit yourself, so any feint of Karlsson's to one side or the other can have you missing him. What's better, I think, is to partially commit yourself. You can't hit hard when you do that, but you can adjust your direction and still bump him, throwing off his skating and not allowing him to take a return pass and speed up the ice. That's much more harmful to the Ottawa offense. Course, if he's reaching back for a bad pass..... I'd sure like to finish them off today. I hate giving anyone life (in sports parlance). Let's get a few games rest to heal up all those microfractures on the team. We just need to hit Karlsen once!!

The last thing I want to do is play Ottawa's game. exactly. why did we lose the last series to them? because they put us off our game. why are we winning this series? because we are playing our game. Sens fans are talking about the goaltending but I'm not so sure -- Price has been "just good enough", not spectacular while the Sens Gs have been "not quite good enough"; but it is lack of scoring that is the Sens bane, not the 'tending. getting away from the MT style of play (I can't believe that I'm saying this) is a recipe for disaster. play your game, boys, and you'll take the series. maybe tonight, maybe Friday, but you'll take it.

I'm thinking Beaulieu won't forget this ... wouldn't mind seeing him punch out Karlsson next year ... he's more than capable of doing that ... Cheers.

Pierre McGuire said something interesting today. About how our team decided to "get away" so that they didn't get to listen to the media telling them how great they were. Hoping to win tonight, but since each of these games have been ridiculously close, I wouldn't be surprised if Ottawa gets one here.

Ottawa"s scoring has been decreasing each game & the Habs proved in game 3 that the Senators bullying approach isn't sustainable. From the second period on the shots were 40-22 for Montreal. Ottawa has too many passengers among their key guys to turn this around.

Senators saying the have to play three first periods.
Be nice if the Habs played one this series. Or do I mean season.

Let's hope the boys get it done or Ottawa lays down... just for the sake of rest or the risk of injury is motivation enough to close this out.
Go Habs

They were 14 points out for a reason. They rode Hammond to a playoff spot but now that stellar goaltending is only average and it is letting them down at crucial moments. Sure Anderson made 47 saves but he failed badly at the most important time.

announcers:
Stone "playing with an extremely sore wrist".
Stone "has a severely bruised wrist".
at least the fracture has been healed.

Couple of references already to the fact Stone is playing with a severely sore wrist. How many players aren't playing with some sort of "hurt" by this time of the year?

Sens get a penalty, trying to goad the Habs in taking a retaliation. Idiots.

We have possession , Subban winds up, pauses, pauses, pauses , blasts ...it's blocked and we don't get possession inside the blueline again. Quickly fire a wrist shot ...geeezz

Our PP gets worse each game. No urgency, no plan, nothing.

Since it's only clicking at 14% at home in the playoffs, the PP is right on track ..... Rmes ... You can't flick a switch, and the "good" PP at home is a mirage.

Quickly fire a wrist shot ...geeezz He was waiting for someone to screen Anderson, Skilly. There was no one in front so wristing a shot at the net is just losing possession. The problem in this case is that no one rushed to screen Anderson. That should be ingrained.

Have to give MT head his credit overall but his true failing and what will be this teams downfall is the PP...little has changed in terms of production and characters...they may survive the Sens but they can't make it to the promised land with this abysmal PP.
