Anybody else having a heart attack? First playoff shutout for Price against a team that's NOT Boston. Gilbert and Pateryn were fantastic. Overall, team defense was great in the 3rd, minus the last 3 minutes when Ottawa was just bombing away. Price with his best saves there.
So many missed chances, but that's true for both teams. We definitely won't be able to recover from that against either Detroit or Tampa.
Need to get pumped up for Tampa or Detroit. They cannot afford to take the latter lightly (hopefully they know this considering Detroit currently leads their series).

Really a 1-0 game.
43 saves for Price.
End of story. All 3 stars IMO.

Eat it, HNIC/CBC/SN/Rogers....whatever.
Now it'll be all Detroit or Tampa. You can bet on that.

Price finally steals one .... Gotta love our MVP I said that he would have to, because I knew our offense would be, well, as bad as it always is.

Well with Price getting an SO in one of the last 2 games it wasn't happening....Detroit maybe there best chance given the huge discrepancy in goal and they aren't as big or physical on D ....let's hope for the Wings and hope the sticks aren't squeezed as tight.
That was too hard on the heart.... Well at least we finally got rid of those annoying Sens

That was intense. Actually had to pace during the whistles.
But you gotta give MT a lot of credit. The decision to start Price was clearly the difference.
Glad to leave the Sens behind. Even if we don't go far, history will recall HABS BEAT SENS in 2015.
I don't want any part of TB. Bring on the Wings and their upstart goalie.

The Wings are having success against the Bolts because they're relentless.
They have several Gallaghers.....

The Wings are having success against the Bolts because they're relentless. They have several Gallaghers..... And Detroit has shut out TB( highest scoring team in the league) twice in this series. If they can close down Stamkos ( no goals so far) what will t hey do against the Habs offence.

And hats off to BGal .Great game! I'm starting to think he should get the 'C'. The Pocket Rocket II! That goal was one for the ages. If Chiasson just lets go of his stick BGal can't go anywhere with a stick in his blade. BGal keeps his balance, goes for the net, takes a shot in the back and then whacks puck out of the air.

Prust-Eller-Weise, definitely our best line ... we knew when they were on the ice every time ... I was actually pretty happy when they finally gave Price a lead ... fast whistle to wave off the Senators goal ... seen enough calls go against our team over the years that I really don't care about it ... round 2 just became a priority ...
Cheers.

Great, okay, very good road game. It was a battle and Gallys early goal has helped a lot but I think Carey didn't need to steal this game. Our guys had the better scoring chances and this game could have been over long before.

I thought the knock on Price was that "He doesn't play well against the Sens". Next !!!

Created a few chances. Markov had a terrible series. Maybe he was hearing footsteps every night. Dunno. Petry was a rock. Love to sign him, but it would have to come at the expense of adding goals what with the cap looking like it might get set at $68.1 million instead of $71 million. The only way to sign him and add goals is to move PAP, and I don't see any takers.

He's looking old, as is his thought process. Been saying since Feb that MT should be resting him.

Gilbert has a year left at a reasonable hit. He'd be more moveable than PAP. Might make for enough room. Likely means just qualifying Galchenyuk though.

I enjoyed the series. Great goaltending, clutch performances by the lesser lights on either team and close games that could have gone either way. It was the MTshell at its best.
Defense and goaltending are always intertwined to some degree. Petry was solid. I think he was the Habs best defenseman on most nights. He'd be the right piece to add long term. I also like what I'm seeing of Pateryn so far. He's a better player than I thought and he seems to be getting better. Thank you Leafs.

it's all the goal that was called back and the terrible reffing here in Ottawa. think I'll listen in to the morning show.
oh, and Chris Lee hates the Senators and loves the Canadians, and always favours them.
