From CBC.ca Canadiens 'full of energy,' Lightning 'angry' for Game 6 Montreal looking to force deciding game after being down 3-0The Canadian PressPosted: May 12, 2015 9:47 AM ET|Last Updated: May 12, 2015 9:47 AM ETThe Tampa Bay Lightning were mad as hell, and coach Jon Cooper could tell. The team had lost its second straight game in its Eastern Conference semifinal against Montreal, a series the Lightning once led 3-0. "There was a genuine pissed-off attitude that we lost Game 5," Cooper said. "Guys were angry and it's carried over, so I like our mojo. I want to be an angry team." The Canadiens, meanwhile, were a relaxed, energized group going into Game 6 Tuesday night at Amalie Arena (CBC, CBCSports.ca, 7:30 p.m. ET). There's a spring in the Habs' stride after cutting Tampa Bay's series lead to 3-2. "I see a team really excited, I see a team full of energy," coach Michel Therrien said Monday. "I think the excitement brings that energy to our team. I feel a team that can't wait to play tomorrow." The grind of the playoffs hasn't gotten to the Habs, and falling behind 3-0 to Tampa Bay has only seemed to force them to find another level in their game. That's nothing new: Montreal is 5-1 dating to last year's playoffs in elimination games. The one loss came when Carey Price was injured and replaced by Dustin Tokarski in the decisive Game 6 of the Eastern Conference final against the New York Rangers ... ... Aside from the 6-2 loss in Game 2, Montreal could argue it was the better team every other night. The Habs have out-shot the Lightning 173-127 for an average of almost 10 a game. More/suiteCheers.

I'm feeling good about tonight ... like many here, I don't expect it to be easy but I think our team is in the right mindset ... last year it was Bishop and this year it's Callahan, and the media is quick to point out 'advantage Montreal' ... given the regular season record and being down in the series, I still think we're the underdogs ... media excuses for Tampa and the right mindset in the Habs' dressing room ... yep, feeling good about tonight ... and so are les boys ...
Cheers.

What's miffing me a tad right now is how much the media is playing on "Montreal gets a small break as Callaghan will not be playing" ... one of the local radio stations quoted TSN almost word for word this morning ... so remember, if we win tonight it's because we caught a break ... as for the game, I think it could go either way ... will be interesting to see if Montreal can keep that full-court press up tonight ... like, where was that all season, eh ... Cheers. I think if we win it'll be because we didn't hit the post as much. What has Callahan done in this series thus far? #BringOnTheHate

Any word on Emelin, or does it not count as a break for Tbay if he doesn't play?
Word out of Tampa is that Drouin will not play in Callahan's place. Looks like Marchessault will take warm up.

Didn't have computer access for Game 5….and will not have it for Game 6 tonight.
But I'll be watching at another die-hard's home…and be with the HabsRus gang in spirit.

Expecting Tampa to click and find the killer instinct they haven't had for much of this series. We'll have to weather a serious early storm and stay out of the box if we're going to have a chance.

Cooper can talk all he wants. He probably expected a great effort with everything on the line in game 7 against Detroit. What he got was this - his team out shot 31-16 and saved by a goal from Coburn of all people.
His team shpuld have been angry after getting spanked at home - didn't happen.

I know he's considered a key guy on Tampa, but production wise and possession wise, he's done little or nothing. I would equate him to Brandon Prust, but I think Brandon's done more, while taking up a lot less CAP space. In any case, whoever replaces him may actually play better than Callahan, so I don't believe it helps us out any. At least not as much as losing Emelin helps them out. ya 3 assists, but he's a bit of a disruptive force; whoever comes in should be more tentative. or so I hope. I've read that his analytics aren't very good, but he's one of those guys who's worth more than their stats. So, yes, I'd rather play Tampa without him than with him. It still boils down to who wants it more.

Not gonna lie, I'm pretty nervous about this one. You gotta think Tampa is going to give us their best tonight. Our team is full of character and truly believe they are better and can win, so we'll see how this plays out. But I for one honestly don't know, should be a good one.

Would love to see Bishop Saperlipopette the bed and really mess with the entire teams confidence.

NHL fact of the night.
183 playoff series have had one team with a 3-0 lead. Only 9 times has the trailing team forced Game 7. Only 4 times has the trailing team won the series

Looks like we're counterpunching tonight. Taking some blows and hoping to catch Tampa on an error.

Pretty scrambly so far. Seem more interested in making sure we clear the zone (high flip clearances) than we are in coming out with control and with speed. Is that the plan for the first part of the game?
