Covers their butts. Bowman and Tangradi not tendered. Maybe they get AHL deals.

Pretty well how I figured it would play out given the current cap situation and the number of projected contracts signed. The Berg likes to keep some wiggle room in both, and so he will look at those extra contracts to likely add depth/improve Hamilton based on who is available on the cheap over the summer.
It will be interesting to see what they do with TJ Hensick, who led the anemic Hamilton offense last year. He was on an AHL deal and likely is hoping for an NHL deal somewhere this year.
Chucky, Tinordi and the 13th forward are the only missing pieces on the roster right now, pending any moves this weekend or leading up to free agency next Wednesday.

But never seemed to put it all together and develop into something. I remember he played a game where for us where he made a series multiple flat-out mistakes, and one was particularly bad and got him off the ice for the rest of the game, and I knew he was gone.

All between the ears with him unfortunately. Even if he were able to stick as a 4th liner, his size and skating are appealing. He's just too much of a liability.

I agree, the guy has all the tools to be a productive nhl regular but no toolbox.

Yeah, some of these guys who look so good in junior and look like an "exactly what the doctor ordered" kind of player just never get past a certain point of development. He won't be the last!!
Hockey sense (and lack thereof) creates such a huge gap once the game gets to the NHL level.

C'mon that took all of about 3 minutes. After that I had to go back to tending my vegetable marrows. (That's for the fans of Hercule Poirot).
