TSN reporting, and PK through his agent acknowledging, that he has been training weekly with Canada's most disgraced athlete.
This is very dumb on PK's part. The rumours will fly that he's juiced on something and I'm not sure I can reject the thought. Yes, guilty by association. Ben has been caught cheating so many times one has to accept he only knows one way to train. These cheaters never lose their spots.
Not impressed that PK never even told his agent of his relationship with Ben. And he refuses to talk about it with the media - very unlike PK. This has a very bad odour to it.
He could train with anyone in the world and he chose this scoundrel. Come on PK - smarten up! Maybe your multi-million dollar sponsors will have some advice for you.

If Pete Rose offered to help me be a better baseball player, I wouldn't have a problem with it. Johnson's only real shame was that he got caught doing what everyone else was doing. It's 27 years later. I've moved on. Just like all those against Pete Rose should. Steroids or not, Ben was still a great athlete. Roids don't make you talented. No I'm not condoning their use. I haven't kept up with Ben the last 10 years. Perhaps he operates a training facility? If PK is working on explosive power, a sprinter would be a good person to learn it from. www.sportsnet.ca/more/ben-johnson-an-attempt-at-redemption-brunt/Just about everyone in that 1988 field was either linked to, or found to have officially used, drugs. The others just managed to get it flushed out of their systems in time for Seoul.

I don't see the big deal ... Subban understands the perceptions on Johnson and the possible perceptions/risks on both of them, but he chose to train with him anyway ... a cut and paste from TSN.ca: ... Subban, a two-time NHL first team all-star, declined to be interviewed about his training. His agent, Don Meehan, confirmed the working relationship to TSN.
"As you know, P.K. has no problem being in front of the camera, but I think he's worried about protecting Johnson [from media scrutiny]," Meehan said. "I didn't even know they were working together until you told me."

If everything is kosher then get it out there instead of all this secrecy. Is telling your agent going to compromise Ben's situation. Secrecy is rarely a good approach. And so is PK now going to refuse to answer questions about the matter. That will only fuel the speculation. Especially these days with social media.

The TSN story was specific in that Subban was there to train ... however, I honestly believe it wouldn't matter what Subban said ... more often than not, the media does not pursue the truth, they pursue the story ... in my opinion, he was right not to take the interview because the potential for a media circus was there ... it wouldn't be a 2nd-page story about Subban training, it would have been a headline about the media's number-1 scapegoat Subban training with the fall guy for the dirtiest Olympic final in history a known cheater ... as for Johnson not wanting to publicize his business, I couldn't tell why ... however, if you're like me and you hear his name, you'd probably immediately think about steroids, stripped of gold and disgrace at the Dubin Inquiry ... maybe it's a good thing that he's working behind the scenes and letting athletes come to him ... Cheers.

Who cares about this. PK will do what PK wants and if the team and league are fine with it who am i to complain. Like has been stated It's been 27 years. .. Ben Johnson has paid his penance imo. He has a right to try and make a life for himself. If PK can help him and help himself become a quicker player then I'm all for it.

Can't believe this could be controversial. Obviously steroids won't be part of the training regimen, and I think it's more disgraceful and disgusting how Canadians dumped on Ben for doing the same thing that everyone else was doing in the 100m finals at that time. The most explosive athlete of all time and I'm hoping he can show PK something because his first three steps on the ice are average.
I'm all for it. A non-story if ever there was one.
Now if he was hanging with that dentist who shot Cecil I'd say trade his ass outta here.

Ben Johnson is fast and he's in Canada. Should Subban train with Bruce (Caitlyn) Jenner? Only if he's planning to spear someone. Decathlon, javelin...get it? Nah, forget it. This post is set to self destruct in 5, 4 ....
