Don't turn PK into a forward.

Max should've passed the puck up to Subban....he would've been gone. Oh well....

Perhaps, but Subban could have held up a second longer.

Absolutely no doubt the single greatest difference in system is the D joining the rush. I honestly don't see much else that's different. Which, defensively may not be a good thing.

The boys are falling back to playing at the level of their opposition.
Sloppy. The deep forecheck has stopped.
Gotta get back to the jugular here.
Price remains sharp.

DDline having trouble exiting zone. A whistle and line change time.

Carey looks like he's in a pick- up game, he's so cool.

Love Beaulieu. Gutsy enough to carry puck out of danger right in front of Carey. But he kept possession and made a good pass out.

We've got 1 shot so far this period on Talbot.
Come on, guys!
It's gonna bite you in the butt, yet!

Out of town Payrick Roy's Avalanche do us a favor and beat Tampa 2-1.

Need another one to put and end to any Oiler hope. They're coming on...and we're letting them.
Bear down!

Pleks with a cute pass at the Oilers' blueline. Price stops McDavid on a partial shortie break.

We killed our own PP there.
Weise, DD, and Galchy on the first wave.
Has MT been using that combo?
Flash goes off for a high stick. Weak call...I didn't see a high stick.
And the Oilers get on the board.
We're in for a third period, folks....because we sat on our laurels for 20 minutes.
Pleks and Max have really been irritating me so far tonight.
And now we're getting another penalty to start the third.

What a joke penalty

The penalty against Subban in the 1st & then that call against Fleischmann - is the referee looking for stuff to call against the Habs in the last minute of periods.
Brutal 2nd period. Subban hits the bar early & that's it for chances. They must think the game is over.

Frustrating period.
Reverting back to last year's habits...against a clearly weak defence, to boot.
Where's the killer instinct we saw earlier in the year?
If the Oilers score on their PP to start the third...all bets are off.
Time for some between-period adjustments!

Gotta stay out of the box. Two soft ones on the Habs tonight. Can't control the refs....but yes, you're right.

Refs miss a Pouliot high stick on Subban.
4-on-4 after the ensuing altercation.

3-2.
I don't think we're going to win this one.
We didn't step on them when we had the chance.

5-2 the shots in the third. Edmonton has the puck much, much more often.

3-3. And the Oilers got away with holding galore on that shift.
Unbelievable reffing.
But we held the door open with a terrible second period.

If we're lucky enough to get to OT, no way we're beating them 3-on-3.

Subban gets high-sticked earlier with no call, and Byron was clearly held inside the Edmonton zone.
Clear who the refs want to win tonight.

We always seem to have a hard time with the Oilers. Frustrating to watch them sit back after taking the 3-0 lead.
