So according to the Habs tweet, no lineup changes except in net.
So Flynn on the second line showing no chemistry with the other two (suggestion: why not Fleischmann, seems like a better fit).
So Byron playing on the fourth line, adding a nostalgic ex-Flames touch, if nothing else at this point (he did not seem like a speedster pest to me last night, but it was his first game in ages).
So DD commits major defensive blunder that costs us a point (thanks coach), and he gets a free pass and Semin (who has been known to score a goal every now and then), continues to man the dog house.
As long as I am clear....

I actually thought . . . that my hate negative feelings toward one particular member of the staff had been wrong all these years. but then you so eloquently expressed three years of frustration that is beginning to grow again.

Franko, I am not trying to pile on our head coach just because of two losses (9-2 is pretty darn fine, and even better if the current mini slump is corrected sooner rather than later). I just look at my pre-season depth chart with Kassian (before his departure from the roster), with the additions of Semin and Fleischmann, and with the need to keep 8 defenders to avoid losing either Pateryn or Tinordi to waivers. Under that scenario, Flynn was headed to St. John's. Now he is on the second line and even taking a number of that line's faceoffs. I want to see Chucky given the best opportunity to develop into a bona fide top six centre (a top line centre would be even better). Give him the right linemates to succeed. Give him the right ice time to succeed. Don't erode ice time by slipping in extra third line and fourth line shifts instead of his.
I think having four lines that MT can roll every night is great. The fourth line has been a really pleasant surprise, as has been DD's effectiveness offensively on the third line. He still does struggle more than others in his own end, but that's not news to anyone who watches him play. You know what you get with DD.
I just want a win out West!!

17 years since I moved from Montreal to Calgary. In those years I can count on one hand how many good games I've seen between Mtl and (fill in the blank of a Western Canadian team). I was at the game in Calgary last year with my son when Mtl pulled an shootout rabbit out of the hat. We were so excited you would have thought that the Cup had been won. It's just been so frustrating to see losses after losses, year after year. We will be at the Calgary game again tonight with the hope that this ridiculous streak stops.

Good to see you checking in, Marv ... it's been almost an automatic thing; going west and just losing ... was at the 3-2 (Calgary) game two years ago ... found Calgary fans to be the most polite fans I've seen ... wouldn't mind a win tonight, but the Flames saw what happened in Edmonton last night and they'll be firing on all cylinders to give their fans a win over the Montreal Canadiens ... the only thing better than that would be for the Habs to give their fans (and there are lots of them at the Saddledome, no?) a rare Calgary ice win ... have a good time, buds ... hope you get your money's worth ... Cheers.

Regardless last guy who should be on the ice in the last minute ....circumstances prior aside MT has to find a way to get right guys on the ice...MT aside team took foot of the gas in the second. It was a dopey period For both teams. Unfortunately unlike game 2- 8 Habs did not attack like they did especially in the 3rd. Long season but you hope a nice streak isn't ruined by a 4 game slide which is quite possible now.

Unbelievable amount of betting on sports in Vegas ... I was watching five other NHL games, NFL, baseball Harrah's Las Vegas Race and Sports Book ... found out that they only brought it in after I had left ... you can bet on outcomes either before or during games ... I never thought to look to see what a Calgary comeback was worth, but it probably would have been a big payout had you bet them to win just after the first ... here's the room I was in ... it was packed with rabid sports betters ...

Was talking today with a rabid Leafs' fan who went on and on about how much she hates the Habs. Subban, Price....across the board. Very childish.
I took it all in good stride....didn't want to pick her reasoning apart. Wouldn't have been a fair fight.
She then asked me if I was doing anything for Halloween tomorrow night.
I said, "No...are you?"
She answered, "No, I'm staying home and watching the Leafs play Pittsburgh!"
Without a beat, I said, "Wait. Doesn't that count as a horror show?"

Weise finds the 5-hole after the Flames had us running around our zone for two shifts.
Weak one by Ortio.

Habs' legs are going to get a bit rubbery in the next 40, I think.
The Flames' forwards are getting a lot of good looks.
They won't stop working.
I am NOT impressed with our Top 6 at all lately. 1 shot per line that period. (AGal, BGal)
OUT OF TOWN: Nice to see Kadri hesitate and have his shot/pass blocked and taken down into the empty net. Rangers 3-1. Kadri smashes his stick across the net.

Flames tie it early in the second at the tail end of the Pacioretty penalty.
Now we have a PP.
EDIT: Beaulieu blasts one in from the point. PP goal.
2-1 Habs.

Subban hooked, tripped....no call.
DD's line getting hemmed in.
Second line forgets about Gaudreau who walks in....Condon can't squeeze it....Jooris pops in the rebound.
Our defensive zone coverage is what you'd say......lacking.

Weise gives us a 3-2 lead.
Wish our Top 6 would join in.

Back to the PP for the Habs. Bad penalty....holding 200 feet from their net.
EDIT: PP empty.

Bennett, Jooris, and Gaudreau continue to wreak havoc.
Very close to tying it.

Bryon with a nice cross pass to DSP who finally gets his first.
4-2.
Good thing Ortio is in goal.
3 goals on 5 shots this period.

It appears as if MT has benched Eller.
Doesn't make any sense. Back-to-back games....that line is already down Semin.....

So what happens in the third?
Do we get rubber legs as the Flames pull an Oilers on us?
Or do we keep firing pucks at the porous Ortio?
This game is reminiscent of the Buffalo and Toronto games.

Slashing penalty. That's not going to help Eller's cause.

5-2 Shortie! Or SHORTIO....
He's been Johnson-Bernier-esque against us tonight.

Weise with the tour-du-chapeau. 6-2.
Flame blows a tire along the boards...and he fires it right to DD...to Flash...nice backpass to Weise.
Highlight reel.
