I still have that 1978 Hockey News Yearbook.
Collector of useless things.

I still have that 1978 Hockey News Yearbook. Collector of useless things. I'd still have it if I had back then ... my most-prized keepsake is a 1971 O-Pee-Chee baseball set (TOPPS high-number set is incomplete) ... it's the only card set that survived ... I eventually finished it off over the years ... Cheers.

That's kind of a weak call. Looked like embellishment.

Pretty wimpy call on Patches. Yes he had his arm around the Islander but he hardly put any pressure on the guy at all. Then they tie it naturally.

Nice save by Condon on Tavares. Crucial to move on after that soft goal.

Gilbert has almost has it, should have had it, loses it to Tavares and Condon makes a great glove save on a backhand. Not a good play by Gilbert.

Gilbert's fumbled the puck more often than not.

Yet Gilbert plays every game.

Islanders controlling the play this period.

I was hoping they'd let that go, but they're not. DD for hooking. Miscommunication between he and Weise on the attack

Soft call. A long way from our net though.

Soft, soft calls against the Habs in this game.

So Desharnais' play is a hold, but Tavares' isn't?
Superstar double standard.

Not sold on the quality of the reffing tonight.

Jeff Petry can't complain about his chances ... Halak has been good, but Petry had a chance near the end of the period ... I've heard heard Dale Wiese's name a lot tonight ... Mike Condon has played very well despite giving up the short side earlier ... just as well as Halak, anyway ...
Cheers.

This would be a good game for the top line to get out of its scoreless funk.

Good patience by Flash and nice finish by DD. 2-1. Unfortunately (sort of), that's not one of the top 2 lines.

From the little I've seen, Byron has no chemistry at all with Chuck or Larry. Wonder if that Semin guy is still available?

Nice (lucky) breakout, smart logical pass by Fleischmann, and Desharnais did not miss there.
