4:00 high-stick to Gallagher, right on D. Sedin's beak.
Unintentional....really it was a follow-through of a missed backhanded clearing attempt.

More crappy luck against the Habs. Gally with 4 minutes for highsticking on D Sedin while trying to swat the puck.

Yep bad luck. Can't blame Gally for swinging at the puck....he's a gamer.

WE got some luck! Canuck's stick broke as he was setting up a play on the PP. Incredible! the tide is turning!

This is not a confident group right now.

I was actually hoping Miller would play tonight. I think Markstrom is better and will eventually be teh Nucks #1 goalie. Miller has had some iffy games this year.

This is not a confident group right now. You can sense it. Maybe they know something about Price.... Maybe other teams have caught on to our Bottom 6 early domination, and are playing closer attention? Sure would be nice if our Top 6 would be exactly that.

This is a game where Carey could have made a difference. He's so good at seeing the play develop and get set before the shot ever happens. I think he saves both those goals. Condon's ok, but he was out of position on both those goals. McCann's was easy as he was playing too far out.

What a blaise lackluster period.I hate when we play the Canucks. I hear about it nonstop living in BC. Phones lighting up

Speaking of goalies, McNiven is playing for the OHL right now on Sportsnet One. Good intermission viewing.

It is only 20 minutes. But coming after 6-1 home loss, this performance is unfocused and stale.
Besides some nice puck possession on the two power plays, the Habs accomplished almost nothing offensively. Vancouver is poor but the Habs are so limited presently 5 on 5 that Canuck coaches will preach let's just keep skating and passing, no more penalties and this game is win.

The early goals are deflating, and the bad penalties 9 times out of 10 will cost a team. If they're playing with confidence, none of these things will deter them.

Phones lighting up Fortunatly all my Canuck friends are mature people so we support each other instead of trashing each other. We're still playing like crap against Vancouver, though. I'm looking forward to the between periods adjustments. (yes, I'm being facetious).

That's 5 GA in the last two 1st periods.
Behind the 8-ball against anybody is tough.
I simply don't have the confidence in Pleks as #1 centre, to lead us out of it. Pacioretty still seems to be in a funk...
Gonna be up to the other 3 lines....

I've seen only one edition of the Habs that looked as good all year as we looked in the first 13 or so games....and that was the 4-Cup run team of the 70s....especially in its first 3 years.
We're nowhere near as talent-laden, with respect to the rest of the league, as we were back then.
This team is still lacking a #1 centre and a Top 6 power winger.
