Habs controlled the majority of play in the first....a little too pretty on a couple of plays in close when a shot would've been a better choice than the pass....but not concerned.
Their goalie is positionally solid....but he's no Reimer. (Did you hear about that? Last night, Cherry said that Reimer is the best goalie in the NHL right now.
Keep shinin' that Leafs' apple....
Anyway, it's "one of those games" in the making....especially when the opposition scores on their first chance in forever.

I am not sure that a DD Tavares matchup in a home game is good except in MT's head.

Heck of a shift from Chucky's line. Ghetto's speed helps.

It seems to me that Price isn't stretching out his legs as far as he normally would. The goal for example was possible because Okposo got around Price's leg. Groin or hip not fully healed?

Habs have ramped it up a notch this period. If Galchenyuk ever relaxes his hands a bit,he could get a ton of goals in a hurry. Good pressure by that line, though. I'm not sure Eller is the best player to put with Chuck. A couple of times in that period, they got in each others way as Eller tried to take the puck rather than moving to open ice away from Chuck.

Semin may have found a spot on that 4th line. It's looking more dangerous offensively with him on it.

Since no one's posted it, it's now 1-1, with DD scoring on the PP after Weise collects a rebound off a PK point shot and feeds it in front for Desharnais to slap in the loose puck.

Holloway could be in next game Tough to stop a slap shot with a hand and only get a bruise.

Gotta be honest, I thought regarding production Semin and Fleischmann's goal totals would be reversed.

Now Gallagher out for the third hope it's not a break Took a Boychuk blast to the hand. That may have broke something.

That's on Pacioretty for failing to clear the zone with no pressure on him. He fired it right to the dman at the point.

Incidental contact, but Weise got the stick up trying to go around.

Yeah, he should have done a better job of clearing the zone. Often, it's not how hard you fire it, but where you put it. Even a soft clearing pass up the middle would have found it's way out. Oh well, let's get another.

Pateryn wins the puck battle against a very intense Lee. Nice job. Pateryn's been great. Making tough decisions for Berg. Or easy ones depending on what's out there.

Oh boy playing with fire could get burned in a game they controlled until the penalty parade

Beau forced into a hook...and the Isles almost scored on the delayed call....but Price's glove was too quick on the deflection.
If the Isles score on this PP....that could be lights out tonight.
We have only 4 shots so far in the third.
