Weak 2nd period called for a strong 3rd. Had chances in OT.
Galchenyuk and Andrighetto with both goals in regulation and in the shootout.

was losing hope with this one but the boys gutted it out again kudos to Condon again and what a burst and finish by Chucky.... Who finally looks like he is gaining his confidence. Points in the bank win sever.al key guys missing all good.

Sloppy at times, the guys were a little off, but it still took a pretty good game by the devs and some stellar goaltending by Schneider to get this to a shootout.
We're tough to beat. Even with a bunch of regulars out.

So begs the question: is there room in the lineup for two guys as small as Gallagher and Ghetto? If so, we may have found that scoring winger we're looking for ...

Galchy is slowly finding his comfort level/confidence….nice pass by Max…. Enjoyed seeing him pull away from 23-year-old Adam Larsson on that play. (Why didn't the ref's arm go up on the whack Larsson gave him?)

Great choice selecting Sven Andrighetto in the shootout ... he had a strong game ... would have considered Tomas Fleischmann as well ... Mike Condon with another strong outing ... granted there are a lot of new faces in the lineup, but they might try supporting Condon/Dustin Tokarski a little more tomorrow night ...
Cheers.

How the hell was there no hand up for that wicked slash on Galch? Oh, that's right. It's only slashing now if you break their stick.

Therrien looked like he had indigestion all night. No smiles at all, even when the boys tied it up. What's up with that? He usually cracks a smile when they pull out a win, or get it to OT.

Schneider made a couple of outrageous saves. One on a Max and Pleks 2 on 1, and one in OT.

Watched the last half of the third sitting in YVR, enjoyed that Chucky goal immensely. Ditto later on when I saw the Chucky and Ghetto shootout goals.
Anytime beating the snoozing style of the Devils is great. Not having to watch too much Devils hockey is...priceless.

Noticed Therrien shuffling his lines a lot more. He moved Galchenyuk to Plek's wing, and Eller back to center on another line.

The difference between last night and the last few seasons is that I fully expect Galchenyuk to return to center for tonight's game with his usual wingers. In MT's line juggling days, you never knew what lineups he would serve on any given game night. Last night MT made the type of in game adjustment a lot of us have been waiting to see. He loaded up the top line and made a big push to tie the game. It worked and full credit to him. To be honest, I could probably throw out my pages upon pages of MT complaints. The old stubborn dog has learned plenty of new tricks. He's come such a long way and I really have no clue how it happened. On another note, I never knew Galchenyuk had that kind of speed... That was great to see!
