The next 5 games....
Penguins Blackhawks Blues Blackhawks Bruins
We've certainly made it tough on ourselves...

As usual, a nice GDT Dis. Is that The Little M in the front row of the Pens 78-79 team photo?

The next 5 games.... Penguins Blackhawks Blues Blackhawks Bruins We've certainly made it tough on ourselves... Over the last few years we seem to have played better against the stronger teams. But then last 2 months have not been the last few years. Having said that, the Pens aren't exactly a top team, and the Blues have been struggling.

As usual, a nice GDT Dis. Is that The Little M in the front row of the Pens 78-79 team photo? Thanks mate ... that is, indeed, The Little M ... Pete Mahovlich went to Pittsburgh along with Peter Lee in exchange for Pierre Larouche and the rights to Peter Marsh back in 1977 ... Mahovlich was one of my favourite players growing up ... Cheers.

Peter Lee played for the Ottawa 67's, he was good hockey player but the Habs were stacked and he couldn't make it. I remember seeing him doing off ice training by running up and down Carlington ski hill in summer months when I was younger.

The Pens have been much better recently. Crosby is scoring again.

The Pens have been much better recently. Crosby is scoring again. Maybe so, but they're not the Washington Capitals and Fleury isn't Holtby.

A game between MT's two previous NHL teams.
See what I did there?

Petry missing practice today. Lower body injury, day to day. Barberio taking Petry's spot on the second PP wave.
Flash still the odd forward out during practice.

I could see the hill from our street just off Carling Ave ... saw Peter Lee play back in the 70's ... he eventually left the NHL to play in Germany and he was there the same time I was ... we spent five years there but I only realized he played there after I had gone home ... he had some good years with Pittsburgh, too ... Cheers.

Petry officially out, Pateryn back in. Flash to miss the second straight game. Condon gets the start. Gilbert did some skating with the staff after practice. You have to be healthy to be traded, right? The Berg has to do something with Tinordi. He is now 9th on MT's depth chart now that the Barberio love-in is in full swing.

The Berg has to do something with Tinordi. He is now 9th on MT's depth chart now that the Barberio love-in is in full swing. Tinordi must really suck! 6'6", 230 lbs. 24 years old next month. What a loser! [/sarcasm] He's never had what you'd call a legit shot on the team....and it's not as if there haven't been opportunities... As a result, when he DOES get a chance, he's likely thinking, "One mistake, and I'm back in the press box..." Because that's what the Therrien-Tinordi development process has seemed like to me.... Somebody's gonna snap him up for a song....

Somebody's gonna snap him up for a song.... That is my biggest worry. I hate to see the team lose assets for nothing or way less than they could have. Chronic bad asset management can keep a team in purgatory too long. Thankfully, the team of late does not have too bad a record here. However, the team is just not going to get a fair return for Tinordi, even as part of a multi player deal. He has not been used enough to have enough value. Other GMs are snakes in the grass waiting for the big man I would imagine.

You'd like to think that a first rounder would be given every opportunity to show himself. Otherwise management is saying the scouting dept did a piss poor job. However, I take some solace in the fact that the 2010 first round draft after the 10th pick had more busts than NHLers. While Jarred hasn't been given much of an opportunity as he's played a total of about 40 games, he has in fact played many more than many of his classmates. Just goes to show you what a crap shoot the draft is after the top 5. But if Jarred goes on the be successful elsewhere, it will just be yet another reason why MT (and i'm starting to include MB in the conversation) should be fired.

10-4 shots for Pens. Condon has seen most but the two best chances weren't even shots on goal. Kessel missed two wide open nets. Off to the PP for the Habs.

Condon channelling Price.
It could easily be 4-0 Pens, chain-of-events reasoning aside....

See DD bail and just pass the puck to a Pen there? Didn't even look for a man to pass it to. Felt the pressure....and got rid of it.
Not singling him out....just using it as an example of commitment shown by most forwards not named Gallagher....
Did I hear them correctly? We have only 9 goals from our D so far this year?
