Goeff Molspn presser, he thanked all the $uckers$ fans for supporting the team through this bu$ine$$ as usual unprecedented trying times. Price injury was a revelation blow to the teams ability and Micheal Bergeron is doing NOTHING EVERYTHING he can to make the team better.
"We are protecting the profit$ future of my pocket$ team."
Asked about the resemblance of this team to the Toronto Maple Leaf$, he said that they are a profit driven fine organization and studied their $$ extraction methods no comparison.
Asked about the "NO EXCUSES" sign, he said that he is changing it to MAKE MOE MONEY" nothing has changed.
THANK YOU Goeff......
(Just remember, the team has gone from 250 million to 1.15 billion in value and profitable every year by selling us hope and bullsh!t for close to two decades. There is simply ZERO incentive to do anything. This is a business that turns a profit every year, charge more for their product annually and increase in company value by providing a second rate product.
All they need is to make sure they keep the "hope" bs alive while not doing anything controversial like rocking the political boat. And just for the record, they surpassed the Laffs value. This is truly the pupil surpassing the masters of DO NOTHING, MAKE MOE MONEY.)

How would the loss of playoff revenue affect Molson's thinking? Would he say, "Something's wrong here, and it'd better be fixed soon or else," or would he rationalize it as, "It's OK, the taxes will be lower." Would anyone venture a guess?

The value of the franchise increase is far, far more important then a few million in extra revenue. He bought back the Habs at 600 million and now they are worth 1.15 billion. That over 6 years, that's 92 million a year. So what's more important? A few million, or even several million in extra playoff revenue versus 92 million is value appreciation? Which also begs the question, what is more important? Winning at any cost or keeping the language politics at bay? Fans metrics are winning a cup. Business metrics are making money. Until the day the two are linked by the fans, there is simply no reason to REALLY change. Reality sucks....and the Laffs organization is proof of how long you can milk this. Now, so are the Habs. www.cbc.ca/sports/hockey/nhl/nhl-franchise-values-forbes-1.3333610

Mol$on can have his cake and eat it to. He just needs to step aside and resign his post as President. Open up the wallet and hire the best hockey mind money can buy, make him the president, give him carte blanche and let him rebuild.
Go get Stan Bowman from Chicago and put him in charge, what that means for Bergy... I don't care, if he stays great, if not whatever... but at least Bowman has proven that he can build a winner, understands that overpayment for role players is fundamentally detrimental, and has been great at finding/hiring scouts to bring in replacement parts ad infimum.
He knows Bergy, and he will be able to oversee Bergy to make sure he doesn't do anything stupid, like say extend a 3rd line center for 2 more years... hang on to a 37 year old dman, or extend a useless coach for 4 more years, one whole year before you even had to.
