According to The Fourth Period, Edmonton seeks a proven face off winner and Perrault's name has been mentioned. Could a Comrie for Perrault swap be favourable to both teams?

It would be extremely favorable for us, and this is why really doubt it could happens.

It would be great for us
but i don't see it happening either, perrault doesn't fit Edmontons style, they play hard and fast

A post-30 year old, impending UFA making close to $3 million? Not exactly Edmonton's type of player...

Put Garon in that trade and i bet it would happen. That's the only way it can happen. Edmonton needs better goaltending right now and with Salo struggling, I don't think Conklin will be up to the task. But then again Edmonton might not be looking for another goaltender since they strongly believe in both. Who know.

According to The Fourth Period, Edmonton seeks a proven face off winner. Looks like they got one in Adam Oates. Seems as though the only time Perreault might be sought after in a trade is at the trade deadline.

Oilers GM Kevin Lowe is looking for a package deal with Comrie....2 for 2 or 3 for 3....
Why not trade:
Bullis Ribiero Hainsey
for
Comrie Smyth
They are a team built on size and speed. Hainsey could very well become a great Dman but with Komi and Markov we have 2 of the best looking D prospects in the league. Ribs could become the #2 in Edmonton now that Oates is there, he'd have more speed on the wings and could benefit from the Run and Gun west .Bullis has speed to burn and a great work ethic that MacT might like. And they are all cheap!
Comrie and Smyth are great together, both fiery players with great potential still and great offensive capabilities.
to have a line like this:
Smyth Comrie Zednik Ryder Koivu Perreault Ward Kilger Sundstrom Langdon Begin Dacks or other
We would be small at #1 and #2 center but the talent would be improved.

5'9" 178lbs but he plays bigger than the player he would be replacing, Ribeiro. Overall the team gets more physical replacing Bulis with Smyth.

While I don't like the way Comrie is holding out, I do like the way he plays the game. He may be 5'9", but there are nights that I've seen him play like he's 6'4". I would do that proposed trade in a second... but that just means that a guy like Kevin Lowe won't.

Why not trade: Bullis Ribiero Hainsey for Comrie Smyth A little one-sided. Maybe we could have Brewer thrown in.
