Letters from Iwo Jima the Lives of others Sharkwater The Departed Little Miss Sunshine Spiderman 1 has a 7.4 rating on IMDB Spiderman 2 has a 7.8 rating on IMDB Spiderman 3 has a 6.9 rating on IMDB and i agree I thought Flags of our Fathers was better than Letters from Iwo Jima, but they were both good i thought the opposite, flags of our fathers was good, but letters from iwo jima for me was an instant classic that i will watch many times.

damn, I gotta hang out on the off topic board more often.
I loved the The Rocket of course.
City of God fans should check out The Motorcycle Diaries as well. Another subtitled film which shows the pre revolutionary days of Ernesto "Che" Guevera.
Shawshank is probably my favourite movie.
any western with Eastwood in it is good (just watched the Good the Bad and the Ugly again, terrific movie.)
Saving Private Ryan fans, have you watched the mini series "Band of Brothers"? It's even better than Ryan. Go buy it if you haven't seen it already.

I would love to see some of the early Eastwood films on Blu Ray. I also watched the Good, the Bad and The Ugly, last night. The music soundtrack is classic. The scene at the Reg Stanton grave, where Angel Eyes throws the shovel at Blondie's feet and said you can both dig. The apocalyptic church organ sound is haunting.

Shawshank is probably my favourite movie. Unbelievable performances in this one. I hadn't seen James Witmore (sp?) in a film since I was a boy. He played Brooks I believe. That letter he wrote to his inmate buddies was a very unforgettable part in the movie: "I've decided not to say." Still give my head a shake when I type that out. The best Eastwood flick I saw was "Unforgiven." It was vintage Clint at the end, but he was actually human in that movie. A buddy and I went to see it on the big screen. I hadn't paid to see a movie twice since I was younger. All but two in that section who went to save Ryan ended up getting killed. Like most fact-based movies, they deviated from the actual story but it made for a good flick. Brilliantly filmed. Cheers.
