He's bad news and should never play football again. What does lack of character have to do with playing football? Should bad judgement keep him from earning a living (if playing a game is "earning" a living, and if someone wants to hire him) once he "does his time"? If he's pulled a Pete Rose and bet on football, sure. But this was unrelated stupidity. Not that I'm a Vick fan by any means. What if he'd only bet on the dog fights? What if he was a bad pet owner and beat his animals or didn't feed them properly? Lots of what ifs, I know . . . just wondering where you'd draw the line?

Perspective, as the newspaper ad goes, is everything. And as I have already stated, it's that perspective that I have the biggest issue with. Ban Vick forever. Okay, but what then to do with Travis Henry? The Denver Broncos wide receiver has fathered nine children with nine different women, and has been ordered by various judges to provide child support for seven of them. Where be the protesters outside the Denver Broncos head office? I guess it's okay to neglect your kids... or beat your women... but your dogs... well hey now...

I'll bet that the Commissioner sees it differently.

I have a 7-11 opinion of the "Jesus" comment.
A statement of convenience.
Impossible to know exactly what's in his mind....but I'd venture to say that if he hadn't been caught, I'm pretty sure he'd still be doing whatever it was he was doing, with no religious overtones.
And, I dare say, most of humankind looking at the end of a lucrative career and a takeback of $22 million, plus endorsements....would say anything they could to salvage whatever they could.

Do they dispense pop cans of "Jesus Loves Me" juice in courtroom and jail house vending machines? I got to get me a franchise......

Since I don't know what you are talking about I can't agree nor disagree. I do believe that God speaks . . . but it has to do with relationships. And again . . . common sense comes into play. LOL... my wife is right into Big Brother. There are two girls on it that all they do is talk about God and how he told them they are going to win .... really God told you both that ...hmmm God is obviously a liar then. One of the girl's actually cried and asked God aloud why he put her in the situation she found herself in the show .... new flash girlie: God don't care if you win the stupid show. Its how you act after the show that concerns him more. The "game" is all about lying and cheating to get people kicked out ...... since it is a part of the game I fail to see why morality means so much to some in the game. Anyways .. I digress
